Yes. A bit meh so far. Wouldn't he be going back into prison after attaching that man in front of all those people?

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2018 21:33

I’m watching it, just hope it’s worth four nights, I reckon the brother in law looks dodgy.

troodiedoo · 14/05/2018 21:39

Watching! Seems a bit like the old broad church formula but it's drawing me in..

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/05/2018 21:49

I’m thinking the sister had lots to gain

Or was the godfather

Least we don’t have to wait for a week

LightAsTheBreeze · 14/05/2018 21:53

I’m watching and enjoying, it has been shown before though in New Zealand and maybe Australia so have to avoid spoilers as the week goes on

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/05/2018 22:02

Quite liked it, got better as it went on. It could be any of them. Looking forward to tomorrow.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2018 22:03

Hmm seems a lot of people had a lot to gain, I enjoyed it.

FawnDrench · 14/05/2018 22:06

Enjoying it so far.

That policeman seems a bit dodgy - don't think his girlfriend now investigating the case believed him about the waitress.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2018 22:19

Yes, the waitress seems quite believable I think the police officer chap just thought yer man was guilty.

Slartybartfast · 14/05/2018 22:41

Oh how disappointing to be on every night

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2018 09:15

DEf a dodgy copper and gf doesn’t believe him

So why would be ignore a witness statement ......

OP posts:
troodiedoo · 15/05/2018 09:23

I think the shifty copper is a red herring. Sisters husband seems far too calm and reasonable so it's probably him.

Dustysparrow · 15/05/2018 14:13

I'm putting my bets on it being the convict's brother. All those newspaper clippings and him being so overly nice to his brother just released from jail....guilty conscience.

JaneJeffer · 15/05/2018 20:15

Does anyone else find the music really annoying? It's overpowering some scenes. Nice to see Jason from Emmerdale in a different role though he hasn't said much so far.

dontcallmelen · 15/05/2018 20:19

Yy Jane it found it really intrusive & was difficult to hear the dialogue at times.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2018 20:52

Yes music is always too loud

Subtitles

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 15/05/2018 21:20

👍🏼Subtitles the way to go, I think they all did it 😂

SunburstsOrMarbleHalls · 15/05/2018 21:32

Does anyone find it hard to believe that the police would knowingly appoint a new senior investigating officer to the new case who is in a long term romantic relationship with the original SIO?
I would imagine they would want a complete independence from from the original investigation. I'm sure the police officer would be professional but if the home office was breathing down your neck surely they would want no connection at all.

When the new information of aggression from Alice to Tara on the night of her murder came to light why would Cathy question her partner about it at home?

I think that the police officers have kept their relationship under wraps, but Cathy should have declared it when appointed t head the new investigation.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2018 22:11

Was that a butterfly knot .......

OP posts:
Clawdy · 15/05/2018 22:58

Yes, it did seem very unlikely that someone with such a close relationship would be allowed to investigate the case.

Slartybartfast · 15/05/2018 23:03

Why are they married? Unnecessary

BitOfFun · 15/05/2018 23:06

I'm finding the whole idea of them spending all that money on a new investigation which they've acknowledged will likely go nowhere quite hard to believe. The "innocent" man is pretty unlikeable too- a rat-faced tinderbox far to handy with his fists. That said, I'm still hooked!

eloisesparkle · 15/05/2018 23:31

I've just watched the first episode and thought it was very good.

Xmasbaby11 · 15/05/2018 23:32

I'm not warming to the characters much but I'll probably keep on watching it!
