I couldn't see a 2018 Eurovision thread. But surely I can't be the only one who has been checking out this year's songs.

Semi final 1 is looking tough - my money is on the winner coming through this one.

Meanwhile semi final 2 seems wide open. Pretty much anyone could make it through.

Plus there are some reasonable songs from the 6 guaranteed finalists.

Bookies have Malta and Slovenia up and Russia and Latvia down.

I think there's loads of filler because we aren't able to vote in this semi-final. On Tuesday they showed all the acts again twice and made a thing of telling us when the voting ended.

I've given up on non-alcoholic beverages and gone straight to the amaretto. It's definitely a neat alcohol evening.

I'm still shocked Ireland got through. Still.

I think our entry is annoyingly catchy. This is good.

Enough to win? No. But its decent. Better than we've had for a while.

Ooh, I love an amaretto . I only ever have one at my sister's house. She has a proper bar set up (show off) in shed in her garden. I should visit her more often.

Amaretto and salted caramel cocoa vodka (50:50) is possibly the most delicious drink ever. I need some more vodka.

I think the banning of Ireland's gay love story dance on the airwaves of other countries is crap.

But if that's the reason it got through - it wasn't a great song or performance - it a bit crap too.

I like a lot of the automatic finalists this year. Italy, Spain and France in particular.
