I couldn't see a 2018 Eurovision thread. But surely I can't be the only one who has been checking out this year's songs.

Semi final 1 is looking tough - my money is on the winner coming through this one.

Meanwhile semi final 2 seems wide open. Pretty much anyone could make it through.

Plus there are some reasonable songs from the 6 guaranteed finalists.

I'm almost certain Moldova will make it to the final. They're in the weaker semi final.

I'd think they should be on the left hand side of the leader board at the end of the final. Probably top 10. I don't think they'll win though.

Me too sneaky but the problem with just watching Saturday is that usually the really awful therefore hilarious ones do not get through anymore. Shame really. So I tend to familiarise myself with all 43 and if one is spectacularly bad I will watch that semi.

Ooooh. Cyprus have overtaken Isreal as favourites. I should've listened to DS when he picked them as his favourite (at the time they weren't even predicted to go beyond the semi).

Yay! Semi finals! I am ridiculously excited.

I am going to try and stay awake on Saturday (I drank too much too early fell asleep just before the voting last year and woke up at 3am a bit confused )

I'm really excited about tonight's semi final. There are more than 10 songs that deserve to be finalists - unfortunately some will lose out....

I have 35mins to get the toddler who never sleeps to go the fuck to sleep. Otherwise im going fuck it, and letting him sit and watch it and to hell with tomorrow.

He already knows the UK entry pretty much by heart anyway...

My sister and BIL are going to the final. I’m so jealous. This time a couple of years ago we were in Stockholm for the semis and it was the most fun. Sadly I was pregnant with twins then so won’t be going any time soon (at least until I enter them in Junior Eurovision!)
