I couldn't see a 2018 Eurovision thread. But surely I can't be the only one who has been checking out this year's songs.

Semi final 1 is looking tough - my money is on the winner coming through this one.

Meanwhile semi final 2 seems wide open. Pretty much anyone could make it through.

Plus there are some reasonable songs from the 6 guaranteed finalists.

saints I always enjoy this until the voting starts on Saturday and then I tend to think we should give notice and leave it for good - that is until a year later when I'm reminded of what a crazy fun event it is.

We are the country where most of the successful musicians come from in Europe. How many other countries have singers who can tour much of Europe. Why should we continue to take part in this outdated event that promotes petty nationalism.

Boycott Eurovision.
