A bit like the house swap last year with rich and poor families

Tho this time just the rich kids swap

They spend time with a poorer family

E1 23yr Fergus from Chelsea spends the weekend with ANNA mum of 4 who lives in Croydon

Yes, I watched it tonight. I thought Fergus was well mannered and really tried hard. He shopped, cooked and washed up without complaint and genuinely seemed to care. I felt the lady was a little rude in making Fergus feel guilty. Not sure we had the full financial situation - she must get child benefit, working tax credit and possibly housing benefit and how about maintenance from the father/s? Even with that budget I would prioritise more on food. Anyone think the fruit for breakfast and chopped strawberries etc was for show? Do they eat that on a £40 budget?! Didn't see the mother eat but she didn't look too starved. Not sure many teenagers could buy a week's worth of shopping for a family of 4? Will be interesting to find out what others made of the programme.

I also assumed she must get help esp childcare as a single
Parent

Childcare was more then her rent. Which I thought was cheap

His £40 budget could have gone further going to a big shop rather then corner shop

But he was polite and meant well

Tho it’s for 2 days so sure all could cope

Am I cynical

This weeks epsiode is a spoilt 21yr who has never brushed her hair and mummyleaves her hot water in a flask to make porridge

Her shopping trip was a success as was her cooking

She stays the weekend with a family on the breadline

Sad that the dad works full time but earns £750 a month. That’s awful

They get top up via think working tax credits

Not sure why the mum doesn’t go and get a job .....

Agree about the mum and the dad had a real chip on his shoulder.

Just watched a couple of these. Does anyone else find the 'poor' parents quite rude? I find it uncomfortable to watch!

I'm jus watching this on catch up. The girl on episode 2 seems lovely and seems to really want to learn. But the 'poor' parents are so rude to her!

I watched the episode with amy, the 19 year old who lived with her son and her disabled mother. I felt so sorry for her but at the same time found her so inspirational the way she coped with what life threw at her.

It was so sad that she was living in a constant state of unrest, not knowing if she would face eviction again. I really hope she is able to build a secure future for her family.

Lovely idea I’d skip but who paid for it

They are least £100+ even for small one so yes the mum may have wanted to clear garden but couldn’t afford the cost

He also seemed shocked at eating food and past best before date

Haven’t seen disabled mum yet. Must be e4

Watched last night's with the young lad and thought he came across really well.

Thought he might have at least got them a yearly pass for the trampoline park Mind!

I liked her though she seemed really nice and like how they keep in touch.

His best mate was an absolute twat

There is a brand new series just started on 5 star.tuesday nights at 9 pm.

The first on was this Tuesday. 18 year old lad who owns 7 cars and has his own maid. Quite a lonely life tho as his parents live and work abroad. They paired him with a family of 4. He turned up with some caviar and a croquet set, bless him!

Found episode 1. I’d love to know a bit more about her, husband, what he does etc.

It did seem like she was unable to fully close her mouth due to overinflated lips, though I could be wrong (and bitchy).
