In rl, Meg (of Meg and Blake fame) recently passed away. Really sad. She’d battled cancer for the last ten years. Only 43.

So jacka from neighbours is the builder at summer bay high. It always amazes me how many actors cross over both soaps. Australia is a huge country, surely there are lots of actors and lots of tv shows. We don’t really get these cross overs in UK tv do we?
We’ve had Martha and Elly, Sophie and Terese, Spencer and Jack, what was the name of Brad Willis’ character in H&A again? Mason was Noah in neighbours and another one of Kate’s boyfriends was played by Jeff from H&A. One lady is in both shows at the moment playing robbo’s Psychiatrist and a client of toadie’s.

Oh VJ was in neighbours too playing paige’s brother, Romeo played a boyfriend of bridget’s (Who she pushed down the stairs and killed!), irene’s Psycho son was Todd in neighbours, Hugo was luke in neighbours...

Jacka! I thought he looked familiar. Oh how weird I didn't notice the psychiatrist / Toadie's client. Out of work actors must fume when they see the same few faces hogging all the soap roles

Denise from Coronation Street was in Emmerdale and then briefly back in Coronation Street again.

And Cindy from Eastenders became Stella in Coronation Street.

And we did get Marilyn from Home and Away in Emmerdale for a while, but I'm not sure that counts.

I hope Colby and Jasmine will be the new hot couple of the Bay, meaning that Mason moves to the city to mend his broken heart.

Oh of course! That’s who he was. I couldn’t work it out. Man, that’s going back a while! Todd and Sally...

I've just remembered who Todd in Neighbours was, god that was years ago.

He had a girlfriend called Phoebe (I think) and she was pregnant and he died and she wanted to give birth on his grave. I can't remember if she did that or not. I do think I read an interview with her (in Just 17 I think) where she said that she thought the price of jumpers in Australia was very high.

I'm not sure what it says about me that I can remember her views on knitwear but not whether she had the worlds worst birthing plan.

Although Australia is a much bigger country than the UK, the population is considerably smaller (and half the actors are in the US!). I remember at some point in the 80s when Neighbours was at its height, and there were only 4 TV channels, there were more people in the UK watching neighbours than lived in the whole of Australia.

Oh wow washing, I didn’t realise Australia had such a small population. Certainly explains all the soap swapping then!

Google tells me London is 10 million and Australia is 25, England is 67 million, America is 327 million.
