I know, all the cliches, well, one obvious one anyway! But I do enjoy watching this, seeing the contestants develop confidence, improve their techniques and grow as artists is very satisfying. Not being a painter I don't understand how to put paint on paper and make it look like anything but flat colour, but watching and listening to the painters and their mentors really opens my eyes.

Too early for a favourite yet, but I like the young guy who does the photo realism, I think he will loosen up and produce something amazing as the series progresses.

The right person won. I liked Callum
Too but he messed up final. Anil has never listened to judges and they had faces just talking to him- that was never going to happen.

I wish they would do more painting programmes. Once a year is nothing compared to amount sport programmes. Anyone remember watercolour challenge? Was it channel 4? It ran for years on every day.

I agree, we hoped Olly would win. He was the one who seemed to have learnt most over the course of the series.
