My guess is that Mick dis something dodgy when he was young ( legally). And that Stuart was either an accomplice that took the fall alone or knew about it and confessed because mick had Linda and possibly a child by then. So now, he's pissed off that his life is shite and Mick has a wife, family and business.

My Stuart theory is that he hit on Linda before she & Mick were together but she rejected him. He's told Mick it was the other way round & that he was stepping aside so Mick could be happy. He now resents Mick's happy life because he thinks he could've had it if only he'd kept pursuing Linda. This will eventually come out, possibly by Stuart attempting to "console" L after Hayley's discovered in Mick's bed. L will be completely disgusted at the very idea & Stuart will be kicked out.

I am no fan of Mick, but i would rather be his girlfriend than the awful Stuart, can you imagine what he was like at 15 or 16? shudders.

Hayley's muvver will be another one on the take or really horrid i bet, if she does show up.

Her clothing is ridiculous. In red water (only saw two episodes) wasn't her dress style all boho and flowy dresses and toned down makeup and now all of a sudden she's back in Head to toe leopard print, corsets and make up like rupaul. There's no continuity...it's absurd.

I have caught up with this week. I think Mick did s9mething bad but Stuart took the blame. Mick looked really shifty/embarrassed when Stuart brought it up. Cheated on Linda? Stole something? Linda clearly hates him.

I think halfway and lee are similar ages. Not sure why halfway would think Stuart is his brother though (obviously have been there with Kat and Zoe though!) I don’t quite see how mick could be his dad but it would explain why he’s fond of halfway.

I think Eastenders Wardrobe Dept. are having a lot of fun at Kat's expense. They are making her into a laughing stock! She used to be a sexy Pub Landlady, now she's turning into a real scrubber in every sense of the word, a bit OTT. Maybe the actress finds it ridiculous too, or maybe she's enjoying the caricature .

Agree, the picture of the daytime pub was pretty accurate-grim. They did have to do their Politically Correct Union Jack thing though - make it part of the scene of unpleasant desolation, surprised they don't have 'Remain' poster next to the toilets !

Quite liking EE at the moment, some humour, and drama tolerable. I only mute the sound about 5 minutes at the moment (a few months ago was at least half the programme) - usually whenever the Soldier comes on basically, Witney's concerned face, and Mick's 100th speech on 'the hero' for the hard-of-hearing or completely-dim.

I just wish they'd stop some of the grim nakedness and sexual innuendos. I'm a sensitive soul. Maybe there's a lot of sexually frustrated EE writers at the moment. Sonia squatting on the floor behind Robbie's backside. Who would do that in real life? Made me feel quite ill.
