Pretty sure we were posting much the same hopes when this one's predecessor was leaving. And it got worse.

I like the threads, but am no longer watching the show and am not missing it.

Edith I agree, I haven't been a regular watcher for over a year now. I think Kate Oates's determination to inflict all these dark stories upon us has really damaged the show.

Well, I don't watch any news, or read newspaper websites, or see daytime TV, or listen to much radio - and I'm still miffed that bloody Radio 4 had nothing better to talk about at 6.45am as it's the only thing I see/hear for half an hour on my way to the station (and The Archers on my way back, followed by Frontrow, guess it might have been covered on there).

Saw in Lidl on every paper and magazine. From a purely character perspective I just don't get it.

There is an article on digital spy (avoid as contains spoilers) which sets out the ground work but I think it's pretty flimsy to be honest.

Yes, Sally has new curtains to match the feature wallpaper and a new fancy kitchen etc - all magically transformed! ot like Ken when Phelan took months to refit his cupboard fronts.

Toyah is behaving so insensitively with Eva and the baby and grabby - just awful! Is Peter the biggest fool on the Street - has he not even read about pregnancy?

I assumed they pretended that Eva was called Toyah at the hospital when giving birth, so Eva signed the birth certificate as Toyah. I might be totally wrong though.
