We all know that the writers read MN after all. Apparently it’s on at 8.30pm this eve?

I won't say what the spoiler is, but it is all over the papers and TV. I can understand why they've released the details tbh.

Iwantacampervan · 01/05/2018 14:02

Does everyone keep an axe by their fireplace? I would have thought it would have been stored outside somewhere - you're not going to be chopping the logs inside.

Honeyroar · 01/05/2018 14:15

Oops. I'm looking at an axe right now that lives next to my fireplace.

Akire · 01/05/2018 14:18

Where is it over the Tv? I don’t watch day time TV so wouldn’t seen any chat shows where do soap updates

keepondreaming · 01/05/2018 14:58

Can't miss the spoiler, it's on the news, newspaper sites, tv.

It's a shame as I didn't see it coming but I understand why they have to forewarn.

keepondreaming · 01/05/2018 14:59

Oh and @Honeyroar I too have an axe by my fireplace 🙀

Akire · 01/05/2018 15:24

Really? I can see it being soap magazines and newspapers but on the general news and on tv? I watch news like three times a day not seen a peep. Tv on 6-11pm most days not seen either.

Spam88 · 01/05/2018 15:25

Evidently you can miss the spoiler because I haven't seen it. Hopefully no one will mention it on this thread, as usually happens 🙄

EB123 · 01/05/2018 15:32

I saw it on Facebook, i follow the Corrie page and they have posted about it and it came up on my newsfeed.

ajandjjmum · 01/05/2018 15:33

Sssshhhhhhh.........

Let's talk about the weather.

kikashi · 01/05/2018 15:34

I think they are spoilering like mad to boost viewing figures (especially to help along BGT).

Oh fuck, got my threads mixed up, I thought this was the spoiler one, I'll report and get that deleted.
Sorry.

Akire · 01/05/2018 16:35

Quick work Brillohair
Wonder what it can be that they haven’t already managed to do!

Yorkshirebetty · 01/05/2018 16:38

Where do they all park their cars?

blossomy · 01/05/2018 16:51

Those saying they won’t watch it, nothing is actually shown. It’s all off screen.

In fact I don’t even think you’d realise, while watching it, until you find out with all the rest of the cast.

IHaveBrilloHair · 01/05/2018 17:00

Oh, it wasnt anything ground-breaking or a new storyline, just something I don't think has been publicised yet.

SumAndSubstance · 01/05/2018 17:01

In fact I don’t even think you’d realise, while watching it, until you find out with all the rest of the cast.

Well, except that most of found out from the papers or the radio this morning...

deadringer · 01/05/2018 17:09

It's not the fact of seeing it or not seeing it play out on screen for me though, it's not triggering for me personally, I just feel that even though Corrie had lost its way in recent years I have stuck with it, but the newer grittier storylines, coupled with the recent lack of much loved gentle humour that set Corrie aside from other soaps, I just feel it's not my kind of programme any more.

Clawdy · 01/05/2018 17:12

Doesn't matter whether it is shown or not, though, it's still very disturbing to many people. How many more boxes are they trying to tick?

ajandjjmum · 01/05/2018 17:17

Really hacked off that it was on an internet news thing that popped up on my screen! Also sad that it's happening.

Clawdy · 01/05/2018 17:29

The whole thing is wrong in so many ways.

Scrabbler3 · 01/05/2018 17:33

Hopefully the new boss will sort it all out. We probably only have a few more months of sensationalist nonsense.

Yorkshirebetty · 01/05/2018 18:14

I agree with all of the above. I don't need to be made aware of all these issues. I'd just rather have a good drama with engaging storylines, some humour and great characters.

CoolCarrie · 01/05/2018 18:44

I hope the new bos spends time looking at Classic Corrie. I, for one, am fed up with “issues” as most people watch Corrie for drama and laughs, not dark storylines like David situation and what’s coming up next seems unnecessary. Bring back strong characters, humour and good actors! No wonder Sarah Lancashire s aid the programme she worked in didn’t exist any more.
