Restaurant looks good though about 7 members of staff that rate have to be very very busy just to cover wages alone.

Yes, the idea of Summer and the boy who looks ten years older than any of them, is ridiculous. I don't care how old she is in real life, she is the most unlikely teenager ever. Dreadful casting yet again.

Ridiculous and creepy. No way does that actor look old enough to be the same age as 14 year old Simon. Surely a decent casting director avoids implausiblities like this?

Is He supposed to be 16-17? He seemed out the loop from school but summer etc had his phone number so must known from somewhere. Maybe they will go down the recroute a young kid get them to delivery drugs line.

Think Jude should be able move from MB to environment worker easily. Though he have to be head of it not just a office bod. Lol at Angie I know when he’s lying. Is she renting office space from what’s his face then? Thought Baby was at nursery when Jude was working? Goodness can you imagine getting any work done with Sophie’s sister rabbiting on next to you all time.

Was anyone else really gutted with the last Rana/Kate scene? I have really enjoyed the closeness between zee and Rana and Kate Just needs to fucking off.

@Frillyhorseyknickers I agree about Kate and Rana - I was hoping Rana would get back with Zee and dump the irritating Kate!! Disappointing final scene. Would she have forgiven Kate so quickly? Those 'teensgers' are ridiculous and seriously miscast.

What about Billy's vicarage? Could he move back?

Why the hell is Summer allowed to be with Billy/Eileen who the hell ever? I would have thought SS would be over that like a rash.
As someone who works in secondary schools, Clayton isn't that far fetched. I'm usually surrounded by hulking great brutes of lads who could easily pass for much older (usually do on the weekends) Simon is an annoying little tit though. Obvious which way they were going to write him when he used to be awful to Leanne. And I think there'll be a story about inappropriate age boundaries/sexting/coercion with Summer.(and there's plenty of girls in lower school who look primary age)

My teens laughed at how naff and fake he Speed daal set looked.

I'm also a secondary school teacher, and it's true that you see yr9 girls looking as young as Summer, and boys that shoot up and have moustaches, sweat copiously and have bass voices. However I do think that drama has to have a bit of a shorthand and cast people who generally look their age, just for storyline plausibility. I also wonder why SS aren't involved with Summer. She'll be fostered by Brian and Cathy next.

It was very plausible for a quiet backstreet to have a cafe. Stretching it a bit to have even a small bistro. But to open a Costa and Speed Dahl there is just ridiculous! How could all those businesses possibly survive? Oh and not forgetting the kebab shop!

The Street isn't near a shopping centre is it? Why would costa open there? Then there's the newsagents, a convenience store, a florists, solicitors. The programme is about a Street not a town!

It wasn't until the grand opening last night that I realised Zeedan has spent all his time in Speed Daal in the dark.

All that work he went and did to get it ready, I swear he never had a light switched on and he was always at the bottom of the stairs.

I thought that place was tiny, but then last night it had a staff of thousands, two big counters at opposite sides, a full on restaurant bit in the middle, and it was about three times bigger than it's ever looked before.

I really hope Rana leaves Kate and Zeedan forgives her and takes her back. I'm hoping the unnamed new waitress will mention the kiss.

Summer looks about nine. She looks so out-of-place with the other 13/14 year olds. I felt so sorry for her re the fake text though.

Wooden Jude is staying then - he's obv going to be working for Brian.

I liked Tim's dad as well. He seems to fit very well into the community.

I find Summer very unconvincing. She recites her lines with very little expression.
