blink - good point. What age is Clayton - he was meant to be a teen but looked ancient - so feasibly Shona could be under 30 - just where in her late 20's depending on how young she was when she had Clayton.

I was quite surprised at Summers outburst but I think she's just reached breaking point. She's right this isn't what her dad wanted. As pp said she's been bumped from pillar to post and ended up looking after people where ever she is. I do like the actress who plays her I think she plays the part well

No one seems to be missing Betty's hotpot at the Rovers since Sean was sacked. Do they still do food? Is there a second kitchen or does it come out from the tiny galley where people keep overhearing secrets?

Given Summer's ability to figure out the inappropriateness of the situation and how far it fell from what her dad had wanted for her, you'd imagine she'd reach the conclusion that although granny and grandad may be boring old farts at least she'd be looked after and protected from worries like adults going AWOL, drug culture, murder and eviction.

Summer is thoroughly irritating, and I do wish she would clear off to Granny's.
