We all know that the writers read MN after all. Apparently it’s on at 8.30pm this eve?

Is David supposed to be drunk?

Akire · 25/04/2018 20:55

Why is she being such a cow! It’s hardly like she spends time with her brother why should it matter he’s a tiny partner in the business or not. So jealous for no reason. Plenty of people stay friends with their ex. If they were that bothered move out of the street just saying

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 25/04/2018 21:03

You’d think she would be glad his business was saved! She never really bothered with zeedan before she found out about rana and Kate. Now she’s all possessive over him. It’s a bit weird tbh.

kikashi · 25/04/2018 21:24

Billy was so mean to Adam when he found out Todd had no unpaid wages. Glad they remembered the flat only had 2 bedrooms.
As for Angie - she should have whatever accountancy certification she has recinded. Also, if Tracy was deliberately fiddling HMRC then why would she just hand over her" books" to Angie? has no one heard of computer accounting programmes or excel spreadsheets on t'street?
Doesn't look like Rana and Kate will last long or that the kidnap plot line is as finished as we thought.
Smeaton I thought that too - I was quoting Section 21 as well!

eddiemairswife · 25/04/2018 21:32

I wonder who paid for Billy's rehab. It's not cheap. Surely the C of E will be supporting him now that he's home. He said he was still a vicar, therefore he must still have a parish.

kikashi · 25/04/2018 21:39

The bishop organised for him to go to a church run rehab facility IIRC. I wonder if Billy's tooth whitening and tan were included in the price?

Akire · 25/04/2018 21:44

If you are not going to declare cash to tax man then surely you just don’t put it in your books at all?

Poor summers going go off the rails isn’t she now

blinkineckmum · 25/04/2018 23:09

How old is Shona meant to be? She seems a lot more mature than David. And way out of his league. Love his new perm though.

kikashi · 26/04/2018 08:52

blink - good point. What age is Clayton - he was meant to be a teen but looked ancient - so feasibly Shona could be under 30 - just where in her late 20's depending on how young she was when she had Clayton.

Clawdy · 26/04/2018 09:21

Not sure why Summer suddenly turned on Billy at the end of their scene. She'd been loving and supportive up till then.

ShowerGel9 · 26/04/2018 10:31

I think everyone has got a line and summers has eventually been crossed.

kikashi · 26/04/2018 10:59

I agree. Summer said this is not what my dad wanted for me - and she is right. She really has been pushed from pillar to post.

Geoff1969 · 26/04/2018 11:52

blinkineckmum Shona is 30 (born October 1987).

Isn't it convenient how all the small businesses on the street suddenly need the services of an accountant and presumably have never had one before so no awkwardness in getting rid of the previous incumbent.

I would have thought that as as lawyer Adam would have better pointing out to Tracey that she can't just kick tenants out rather than blackmailing her.

I was quite surprised at Summers outburst but I think she's just reached breaking point. She's right this isn't what her dad wanted. As pp said she's been bumped from pillar to post and ended up looking after people where ever she is. I do like the actress who plays her I think she plays the part well

eddiemairswife · 26/04/2018 14:55

I'm glad that Summer has shown a bit of spark. Up till now she has been a sensible goody-goody. Let's hope Amy is a bad influence on her.

kikashi · 26/04/2018 14:57

No one seems to be missing Betty's hotpot at the Rovers since Sean was sacked. Do they still do food? Is there a second kitchen or does it come out from the tiny galley where people keep overhearing secrets?

Optimist1 · 26/04/2018 18:52

Given Summer's ability to figure out the inappropriateness of the situation and how far it fell from what her dad had wanted for her, you'd imagine she'd reach the conclusion that although granny and grandad may be boring old farts at least she'd be looked after and protected from worries like adults going AWOL, drug culture, murder and eviction.

Clawdy · 26/04/2018 19:15

Summer is thoroughly irritating, and I do wish she would clear off to Granny's.

ChevalierTialys · 26/04/2018 20:18

I'm sure Summers gran told her she can go and live there. If she wants to leave Billy, why doesn't she just go?

thenightsky · 26/04/2018 20:28

Summer reminds me of a Cabbage Patch kid every time I see her squashy, one expression only face.

Yorkshirebetty · 27/04/2018 19:37

Oh, the new set! How exciting!

Akire · 27/04/2018 19:48

If Billy is off sick he get all his housing benefit paid plus income plus tax credits and child benefit. It’s a tiny flat why is he faffing saying he needs £200??

Wh was there no jobs in cafe when lost Anna? Why is Shona netting Billy at lunch time you know at peak cafe time arghhhhhhhh

Hygge · 27/04/2018 20:01

Who is that new waitress that seems to know everybody really well even though we've never set eyes on her before?
