Lynne Perrie's memoir is interesting. She cheated on her husband with numerous men. She writes of fancying Nigel Pivaro but not being able to get him to sleep with her. She got together with several male cast members though. She also talks of big nights out with Elizabeth Dawn, Julie Goodyear and Johnny Briggs.

Sadly, I recall that when she died, only Helen Worth and Chris Quintin attended her funeral. I think she cheesed off a lot of people, but she said lovely things about those two in her book. However, she was pretty catty about others including Bill Waddington, Betty Driver, Simon Gregson- even Warren Jackson. And she clearly disliked Chloe Newsome, who played Alec's granddaughter Vicky.

I read her book years ago and never believed what she said about her conquests with fellow actors - some of them were much younger than her, iirc? She didn't name names either, which I always thought was odd as she had nothing to lose at that point in 1994.

You know I have never understood why soaps don’t actually make one of their characters an actual childminder. It wouldn’t exactly be out of the ordinary for a childminder to live in a residential street full of children! It would also open up opportunity for different storylines like little ‘Ope trying to bury a child in the sandpit and the CMer having to have the awkward conversation with kebab thrower Fiz. never understood why they don’t have this very obvious job amongst the residents.
