Removing the mask gives the human touch.

Oh no not a mobile phone bomb...Sad

Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 21:49

GET OUT OF THE BUS ELVIS!!!

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 21:49

It's a pretty ancient mobile phone! A Nokia if I'm not mistaken.

Calm down Rhu. It's the next series when he gets in the way of a bomb! :)

Elvis through the window.

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 21:50

He can climb in my bedroom window whenever he likes!

Shut up Ma Lane.

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 21:51

I can understand Grace's view of Elvis but she should try to remember that Elvis was the one who rescued her in Kenya.

Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 21:52

She's a bit mean here blaming Elvis. He isn't doing this by himself, you know.

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 21:53

Is this Jamie's way of apologising?

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 21:53

But Grace doesn't know that Elvis rescued Georgie does she? Marie knows but I don't know if Ma Lane was told. She ought to be grateful.

I don't like this bit, far too much kissing and not with Elvis!

Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 21:53

She lies about Kenya.

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 21:54

Georgie, don't leave the army because Dr Dull has been pressurising you into doing it. Do you really want to marry him and have him controlling you?

Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 21:55

Does Abu really need a wall with all those photos on.

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 21:56

Even if Georgie had never told Grace about being rescued by Elvis, I am sure Marie/Fingers would have said something. I'd never considered she wouldn't know to be honest.

OK, one more episode to go.

As you know Rhu I won't be around next week until Friday. Do we want to do it next Friday or do we want to slip a week? Your call, I'm happy with whatever you decide.

Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 21:59

It only occurred to me in this episode as well. I just thought she might not know. Marie knew about Elvis being around and has taken it upon herself to give moral guidance. I just wondered if she'd kept it all secret from their parents because it was Elvis.

Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 22:01

Don't mind if we do Friday. Then we might have time to slip series 3 in before, hopefully, the Nigeria tour starts. Can anyone else do Friday or would you prefer the following week.

Ilovelblue · 13/03/2018 22:07

I know eejit said she is totally stuck next week.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 13/03/2018 22:24

Don't mind leaving it until the following Tuesday then if eejit can make it as well, particularly given her appreciation of the fine figure Elvis cuts.

eejittwo · 13/03/2018 23:04

ilove - your post at 21:35:25 - I've given this comment of Elvis's much thought and re-watched (a few times). Alternatively, he could be saying that this is the best Polish breakfast AT ALL, including Poland ...

Flowerfan · 14/03/2018 08:00

Good morning
Sorry I didn’t make it again last night
I have just read your brilliant comments ilove and Rhu and can visualise the scenes as I read. Wish my memory was as good for other things!!! Both of us still not clear of the dreadful colds we have had so DH not going swimming yet. Has anybody watched Back in time for tea. Been great for us as filmed in Bradford house mostly but also other laces in the ‘North’!! Worth watching on catchup a good insight into the last 100 years based mainly on food (hence the title) but also jobs and lifestyle. Sun shining at last this morning👏

Ilovelblue · 14/03/2018 09:21

I've seen it advertised Flower but didn't watch. I've seen the previous ones but not this. On your recommendation, I'll take a look on iPlayer!

Morning. Glad you had an enjoyable watchalong last night. Going back to rhu's question yesterday about period dramas we'd like to see BA in, I know it's not quite the same, but I'd like him as a leading character in a 1930/40s Agatha Christie adaption, say a 3 parter over Christmas or Easter.

Magi84 · 14/03/2018 10:31

Yes Kazza an Agatha Christie piece would suit him well too I think. Funny how we seem to be able to visualise him in things but either him or his agent don't seem to push for them. Mind you I often think casting directors have their own little favourites or even new finds they've cottoned on to and decide to go with.
