Things a bit hectic here at the moment so have been reading but not posting!
I have managed to catch up on The Split tonight and guess who is in it? Milan and he seems to have another not very flattering part again. Don’t think he will be in it for long as his fiancée is changing her mind I think.

Lovely houses, clothes etc not sure how true to life the legal side is though.
Well just to let you know I am still around and hopefully RL will calm down soon

Hi all - agree Flower we all seem to have been a bit caught up with other things so haven't been posting. Noticed on Instagram today that BA has been working on another short film called Price of Life, but have no idea whether it is something that will appear on TV or where it is designed for. So that is a second thing we know he's to be in but not where it is likely to be accessible. Frustrating!

I also noticed 'Milan' in The Split and agree that it doesn't look as if he will be around much longer. I am quite enjoying it but of course there are always things that stretch credibility a bit in these dramas but it is certainly watchable. Passes the time till OG I guess!!

As I only know how to get things on tv or which have been on tv I am worried I will miss these other things BA does. Hopefully our friends with better IT skills will be able to help!!

It's been quiet for almost a week and I'm guilty of being off doing other things so no excuses from me. Hope you all had a good bank holiday and enjoyed the sun.

Do we have any ideas about when we might possibly do the Our Girl pilot?

I've popped on here because it's Eurovision (1st semi-final), so bad it's good and I might moonlight over on the Eurovision thread unless anyone else would like a more exclusive chat on here. Don't worry, though, as I know it's a bit like marmite.

The Our Girl film: Not this week, please :-) I am off to the UK/London with the kid and her best friend, tomorrow until Sunday. If I was travelling alone, I might have gone for a bit of sightseeing around the old East Ham stadium ;-). Only military contents will be changing of the guards at Horseguards' Parade (don't want to fight the crowds at the Palace).

Don't worry Delphin I think we'll need some notice to get this one sorted and as it's 90 minutes we'll need a bit longer.

Yesterday lunchtime I was listening to a story on Jeremy Vine's show about whether it was right for recruits to be shouted at/humiliated in training and they played a clip of a corporal yelling at a female recruit to effectively 'put some bloody effort in' on her bayonet training until she cried. Apart from all the bleeped expletives, it reminded me of CJ yelling at Molly in series 1. What a nasty piece of work he seemed. I'm in two minds about that type of training - it's no good pretending it's anything like a normal job and soldiers do have to respond to orders and be effective in stressful situations but I think it has to fall short of actual personally directed abuse. Someone commenting on the story said something I'd heard in the OG pilot about breaking people down and then rebuilding them. I suppose that is what you see happening to Molly in her initial training and then you see CJ do it all over again in Afghanistan.

Evening all. It's been very quiet on here for a while.

I've been creating a new garden at the disabled centre where I volunteer and although I've been doing two or three hours a week for the past six weeks or so, I've been getting fed up of doing nothing but digging out very aggressive weeds so last week, I put more hours in and have actually been able to start planting. Was shattered though every night and didn't really have much to say of note on here.

My pilot DVD has arrived but I've not watched it yet. I honestly can't remember much about it so will definitely need to watch it on my own before we do a watchalong on here.

Eurovision isn't for me Rhu, sorry. Maybe Saturday night is when I should be watching the OG pilot!

Re your Jeremy Vine comment, despite what might be our slightly rose tinted view of army training, I still think there will be bullying and chauvinism around. There were a couple of cases which hit the headlines a while ago. Wasn't there a recruit who died being made to run as a punishment and it was during a heatwave? Maybe I'm making it up or my memory is fading fast!

Where are you all ladies? Am I going to get the OG pilot DVD out of its wrapper?

Hi All - sorry Ilove I'm not much help re when your Pilot watch along will be but thought I'd come on to say there is a little bit of OG news on Instagram and it is certain now that we will get our next four episodes in June. Unfortunately no actual start date as yet or what day of the week it will be but still always raises the spirits to hear it actually being mentioned!!!

Evening! Sorry ilove I've been hanging out on the Eurovision thread this week. Thankfully, it's all over again with the usual dismal showing for the UK. It's not the singer or song's fault, just an utter waste of time bothering to take part as these days pretty much everyone hates us - the joys of brexit!

I'm open to anytime for the pilot watchalong. Delphin didn't want this week so perhaps we could go for one evening next week? How about Wednesday or Thursday if we all need a bit of notice.

Magi it's good to hear that OG is actually going to happen. A date would be good but I'm a little fearful it's going to be on at the same time as Euro 2018! Do you think there's any chance they'll do that thing where they put it out at one episode per week but put the boxset on iplayer at the same time. I always think that's a sign that they don't think it's very good.

Hi all. Very late here at Ilove Towers.

I am not a great Twitter person but do follow TG and BA and found a tweet from TG today which was a photo of some TV listings magazine. Sounds to me as if they're going to show all eight episodes together and it says "Airs on BBC1 next month". I'll see if I can post it on here. (For the record, I've never ever tweeted myself and don't always understand some of the cryptic comments).

I also see that BA is in Africa working for a charity called Send a Cow. Has anyone seen anything about it?

Yes that TV listing is what I saw on Instagram Ilve and several comments by a group called 'Our Girl Army' and they said June but no mention of it being all 8. Honestly it is real cloak and dagger stuff. Rhu I wouldn't be surprised if they did what you suggest re IPlayer. I get the feeling they're a little reluctant about this next lot f episodes!

BA seems to be working hard with the Send a Cow charity he is putting lots of stuff about it on Instagram. His uncle who is a farmer is one of the founding members. I remember we had a speaker at some group I was at years ago now who explained this whole idea of donating actual farm animals and also some practical training to young African men rather than pouring money into a charity and ending up not seeing what becomes of it. As far as BA is showing it is very successful in Uganda.

Yes, there's lots of info and photos and videos on BA's twitter and instagram accounts, with links to the Send a Cow website aswell. It looks like he's having a great time in Uganda and all for a very good cause.

As for the pilot, it was someone else's idea, but I could do Tuesday or Wednesday this week, Tuesday next week, or Tuesday or Wednesday the week after, but I've still got to buy it from iTunes. Will try to do so tonight.

Afternoon ladies. I don't often post at this time of the day. Lovely weather here in Lancashire today. If it stayed like this all summer, I'd be very happy.

How about we go for next Tuesday for the pilot watchalong? Maybe a bit earlier since it's a long one. 8.30 pm?

I agree entirely about BA's agency. They are useless and we would most certainly do a better job! At least BA is making good use of his non-acting time. He seems to be having a good time in Uganda and at least he's making a difference.

I nipped to the preview day of my local auction house today (I love rooting and nosing around) and I actually burst out laughing. There was a framed dress with a signed photo next to it and I was curious what is was. It turned out to be a dress MK had worn when she was playing Tina in Coronation Street with a photo of her as Tina too. I'd be interested to see how much it goes for! What a strange thing to sell.

ilove - must say my opinion of MK has gone up after seeing what she wore to the BAFTAs. It's a gorgeous full-length, full-skirted gown in what the papers call lemon, but I'd call primrose.

As far as I can tell, next Tuesday 22nd at 8.30 pm would be ok for me for a mega pilot watchalong. (the following week is out as I will be away). I haven't watched it for more than a year so it will all be fresh to me. Quite enjoying the prospect of going back to where it all started.

As for the OG news, it's all very much what was written some time ago so they aren't giving much more away. Having checked dates, it seems that the World Cup starts on 14th June and Wimbledon now a week later than in the past starts on 2nd July. I can't imagine anyone wanting to have a new drama scheduled in June/July unless you're going for a sport-hating audience. I'm wondering if there's been a production delay resulting in poor scheduling or......they think the demise of the Georgie/Elvis relationship might seriously affect ratings. I imagine, however, that being serious CJ fans we are possibly some of the few who wouldn't mind one bit having the boxset available on iplayer immediately. Just imagine how much binge watching we could do! We would be so spoilt...apart from the loss of Elvis RIP

eejit I saw a photo of MK's dress too for the BAFTAs. She looked beautiful. I woquld have looked massive in a style like that but she was like a princess

I expect you've all seen that you can vote for Our Girl in the TV Choice Awards again this year. Quite a long list of possibles but as no other drama has really captured my interest greatly I could vote for OG with a clear conscience and see if that helps in any way to finally get it aired.

Hi All - don't know if you've realised but all three OG series are now on IPlayer so binge viewing is again possible. Also eejit the pilot is apparently on there also so if you are still trying to get hold of it there you have it. Think this is a major clue that the next four episodes are starting real soon now.
