Only just discovered it and I love it. Mandy the local hard woman (and tattoo artist) is a joy!

AHHHH!! I would be so up for that! Grin

MadisonAvenue · 02/04/2018 12:50

Oh my goodness....I've just watched the last episode of this series. All I'll say for now is that I really really REALLY hope there'll be a third series.

thewooster · 02/04/2018 13:57

Just watched the last episode...awww Kerry!

MadisonAvenue · 02/04/2018 14:07

I know thewooster
My heart was breaking at the end!

Ohlellykelly · 02/04/2018 16:27

That was so good, I wish it was on forevermore Grin

AnneWiddecombesHandbag · 02/04/2018 17:03

The threatening letters one is my favourite. So funny!

BlossomCat · 02/04/2018 20:40

I've also just watched the last episode.
That cannot be the last one, surely?!?
Oh Kerry. Shock

strawberry1122 · 02/04/2018 21:47

I think there will be a third series, if the writers are willing. It has quite a cult following.

Martin is a absolute waste of space. Would love to see him get his comeuppence. They've developed the characters well in this series. Kerry is really quite unhinged by the neglect from both her parents. With Kurten you keep getting glimses that he could make something of himself if he stayed away from Kerry, but he is admirably loyal to her.

ChampagneSocialist1 · 03/04/2018 21:24

Love the mockumentary format esp working class rural shouty accents needing subtitles. Also inherent selfishness of teenagers and job dodging. Favourite line is “Vicar have you ever done a pill” Grin

Popchyk · 03/04/2018 21:58

It is quite poignant to see both Kerry and Kurtan struggling to form proper relationships with people their own age. Kerry hanging out with Levi and the very young lads and Kurtan is lapping up the attention of the older people at the bowls club.

I loved the scene where Kerry strolled into the Bowls Club with her new Official England Merchandising Football Manager's Coat on. She was so proud that she could afford an official merchandising item (proceeds of the dodgy Dysons) and Kurtan was so chuffed for her.

Stu123 · 03/04/2018 21:59

I hope there’s a third series with Kerry banged up in HM Prison Eastwood Park, being visited by Big Mandy, the vicar, Pork Chop and Kurtan... though never on the first Saturday of the month, ‘cause Kurtan will be at TK Maxx in Swindon.

Kerry could get a job in the prison kitchen, so she can get double-dinners. And she could share a cell with one of Big Mandy’s Greg Wallace off Masterchef (Ross Kemp with glasses) tattooed, comparethemeerkat.com obsessed pals.

Kerry could have protracted ‘phone conversations with her mum:

Sue: Kerry!
Kerry: What?!
Sue: Kerry!!!
Kerry: What?!?!?!
Sue: Don’t you “What” me madam!

We also need a third series to see if Slugs and Kayleigh managed to patch things up. It wasn't looking good there with Kayleigh sending sexual messages to other men on Facebook.

Popchyk · 03/04/2018 22:17

That would be hilarious, Stu.

If Kerry escapes the long arm of the law in the next series, I want Big Mandy, Kerry and Kurtan to join a slimming class together.

kurtan doesn't exactly needs a slimming class Grin

Absolutely loved this show. Live not too far away... the bypass was filmed just outside my daughter's school.

I just love the banality of it, juxtaposed with moments of side splitting laughter.

It's certainly my favourite on tv at the moment.

ChampagneSocialist1 · 04/04/2018 07:30

Just wondering is the village Chagford?

GreenShadow · 04/04/2018 17:26

It's all filmed in Northleach Champagne

mirage937 · 04/04/2018 17:35

its been nominated for a Bafta hopefully that means a third series is more likely

MadisonAvenue · 04/04/2018 19:17

Hopefully mirage, and Daisy has been nominated too!

Stu123 · 04/04/2018 19:42

Considering Charlie Cooper had no training or previous acting experience, he’s a great actor! I believe he was doing a sports science degree at the University of Exeter, but dropped out/failed/was asked to leave. And he’s worked at a clothes shop, been a model (he was scouted whilst working at the clothes shop), and been a cleaner with Daisy.

The subtleness of the humour is a thing of marvel, loving Tudor’s portrait and Kerry being his replacement

staydazzling · 04/04/2018 22:49

ooh poor Kerry, Sad am I too naive to hope she comes out okay next season?
