I have been enjoying this as well, it’s silly & gentle the locations are so pretty it’s like ‘Midsomer light’

I was surprised it was on in the afternoons rather than a more primetime slot. It's very good, I really enjoyed it.

DS(12) loves Father Brown too. He makes me record it so we can watch it before he goes to bed. I'll be gutted when he deems himself too grown up for that. Sad

I was thinking today how much I enjoyed this. Its even better as its filmed around the area I grew up and I recognise a good few places.

Have binge watched all 3 episodes. Yesterday's was the best. Thought Tuesday's was a little far fetched!

Did not realise they had cancelled the coroner 84 I’m gutted too, loved that programme, why do they cancel really good stuff yet crap in the attic etc runs for years and years, guess they are cheap to make. Will have to make do with the re runs Sad

I've found my people- it is such easy watching. Every cliche possible but I don't care, nice setting, entertaining without being too challenging. Surprised it's not on a Sunday tea time.

DP is away, so sofa dinner for one and BBC iPlayer.

Not sure why it was cancelled. Just said on the wiki page that the BBC decided not to commission another series....

DR BLAKE MYSTERIES...
It was cancelled a couple of years ago and I was gutted but 7 Network bought the rights and more are being made!!

Dr Blake is played by Craig McClachlan aka Henry from Neighbours. Also Nadine Garner from Home and Away is in it too....

I should imagine they only have a certain budget for daytime drama and they are doing this instead of the Coroner. They’re not dissimilar in feel. I quite like it but snow days have scuppered my viewing.

I really like this. Usually watch it on iplayer but watched 'live' today -snow day. Hurrah!! I love Mark Benton. I think he's a great actor. I loved him as Eddie in Early Doors.
