I thought that about Joyce Shock

confusedhelpme · 29/03/2018 21:19

Fuck me! Babe is in not going out!!

Akire · 29/03/2018 21:35

Just caught up been a good week! What’s happened to Stacey’s mum? She wondered off in middle of evening leaving door open then get a text saying she home mmmmm
Prob kidnapped by the latest mob.

Keegan is very well acted loads of different emotions. Shame the other one isn’t moving in with Jay they actual look like would be mates.

iknowimcoming · 29/03/2018 22:29

Dh said as soon as ted went out - 'she's going to have a heart attack' of course he doesn't actually watch EE Hmm. I was glad Bernie didn't actually win - wouldve been too cheesy. The slaters just annoy me

Optimist1 · 29/03/2018 22:37

Confused, I spotted Babe, too - she was much more refined than her EE persona, wasn't she? Grin

FlashTheSloth · 29/03/2018 23:10

Does this mean Ted will fuck off and leave? Shame for Joyce, he was an arsehole to her. Totally took her for granted. I hope he feels bad and fucks off. Cannot stand him.

I like Stacey's hair. Lovely and thick, I wish mine was like that.

Shame Keanu doesn't move in with Jay. He'd fit in. How Ingrid can sleep with him on the sofa in the living room with that many people wandering around I don't know!

ERipley · 29/03/2018 23:16

Stacey’s hair is extensions surely.

Thebirthdayparty · 30/03/2018 00:49

Is Joyce gone so? I don't know why they focused on a hand outside the bedclothes, are we supposed to assume or know she died? I doubt Ted will blame Bernie, he was the one who pushed her to keep playing. Anyway he was volatile and unbalanced (he shot Johnny) before he ever started playing chess with Bernie. But what can they do with him on his own unless they bring his son back from Australia. Joyce mentioned tonight he was going to visit. I suppose he could come back for Joyce's funeral ie if she is dead, though why he'd' move back from Australia to the Square where he didn't even grow up, when his mum who he was emotionally close to isn't there, would be a bit hard to believe. Unless somewhere along the way, Joyce made the son promise to look after Ted should anything ever happen to her? It sounds like Ted's grandchildren are very young though so maybe they will stay with their mum in Australia cause EE already has enough young children who they don't know what to do with.

Pity if Joyce is gone that they never gave her even one proper storyline.

How is Jay still running the funeral home by himself? When owner and experienced Les was there, he needed Billy to help. Suddenly Jay who is practically a trainee, is doing it all by himself. I'd have thought it was a job that would need a lot of paperwork and administration and signing off of official documents, its not enough that the clients can't complain?

Karen is really good acting isn't she. To think, they brought her in and left her shouting and smoking for a whole year.

dogsdinnerlady · 30/03/2018 08:07

Nobody in EE ever goes to college or gets qualifications. They just go from school (that seems to be optional) to working in the Square for a local business. So you can become motor mechanic, a chef, a hairdresser/beautician or even a funeral director - which must be highly regulated surely - with no effort.

OhTinky · 30/03/2018 08:13

I find the scenes with Keegan and Karen really believable. Their hurt and upset at being left by partner/Dad is well acted. I think Keegan is a great actor when he’s not just used to bully/hit on Louise.

Less said about Jack and his Paris plans the better. He’s quite creepy isn’t he? Red flags everywhere with him coming on too strong, flash gestures etc etc.

SoupDragon · 30/03/2018 08:45

The way Keegan was all happy and excited in the cafe and then switching straight to Anger when he realise he’d been dumped again was quite painful to watch. He was great.

I feel bad for my thoughts when he was a nasty bully at the start. Although looking back, he played that part bloody well too - he was so dislikable! Truly nasty.

The80sweregreat · 30/03/2018 09:26

keegan is a good actor and Karen too. She has grown on me.

Its a good job Jack and Mel didnt just ' drive down to Dover to the chunnel and on to Paris' on a whim , its very busy according to the web today! easter and all that.
No, the only one that ever used to go to College was Ian back in the day to train to be a chef.
years ago I went for what i thought would be an admin role in a funeral directors, turns out it was to be trained up to do everything else - even teaching how to drive the hearse very slowly and engraving the lids to the coffins. sounded like weeks of training - not for me though. Jay is amazing to do it all alone - especially as the square does have a big body count at times.
Poor Joyce though, no real stories to speak off and years of cooking spam fritters for Ted the weird one, now this.

Akire · 30/03/2018 09:41

I loved the way morning after the Dad stayed over they prettied Karen up. She did look vunerable, especially over the nightie thing.

It looked like Joyce was dressed to me. Suicide? Maybe son isn’t coming over and she had enough. I have same tv did note say don’t come in?

I missed why Jack thing that Mel wanted to Paris for dinner? OTT or what. What was she supposed to do with son? Or job?

Love see Stacey’s benefit claim all thee waits strays coming and going and working. And what is happening with TIff? She 14/15 and not in schoo. Did I miss part where they said she’s in college or something?

SoupDragon · 30/03/2018 10:04

I thought suicide - I expected them to pan down from her hand to a pill bottle.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/03/2018 10:06

Didn’t understand Joyce’s hand

Tho did anyone spot the bruises round Joyce’s hand ?

Glad Bernie didn’t win chess

SoupDragon · 30/03/2018 10:10

Yes, I did see something now you mention it.

southeastdweller · 30/03/2018 11:06

Maggie Steed is best out of it - the writing for Joyce and Ted has been terrible right from the start.

MrsJayy · 30/03/2018 11:25

It really has been awful Southeastdweller they got proper actors and ruined it by making then odd and wooden

SoupDragon · 30/03/2018 11:32

Because I’m bored I looked on iPlayer at Joyce’s wrist.

There’s what looks like a bruise maybe from having her wrist gripped.

The80sweregreat · 30/03/2018 11:33

They are good actors/ Shame they didn’t develop the characters better.

nancy75 · 30/03/2018 11:34

Poor Mrs Spam, wonder if we will get to meet the young Spams now? There’s a son in Aus and I think a daughter somewhere more local

Thebirthdayparty · 30/03/2018 12:39

Why is her wrist red? Did Ted grab it? Will he be blamed for her death? He said something too about having to go home and make up to Joyce which could be misinterpreted I suppose?

SoupDragon · 30/03/2018 13:00

Has Patrick noticed that the Spams didn’t get the money he posted through their door?

MrsJayy · 30/03/2018 13:17

Patrick went toTrinadad (as you do) next day after he posted the money he did tsk at them not thanking him.

youarenotkiddingme · 30/03/2018 13:17

I thought the redness was to show the blood had pooled? Didn't realise they were bruises? Or know if blood does that when you die?
