I got them cheap. Ideal gift for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day.

Enrique Yes, I completely get why Ann & Amanda are getting on. While Ann's voting track record shows she did not support equal rights for gay people, I haven't seen anything in the house that I would deem homophobic.

nice Ann didn't seem too appalled when Dapper mentioned the rape joke scandal. She victim blamed women harassed by Weinstein and implied being wolf-whistled at is a compliment, not harassment. I wonder if she would enjoy Dapper's attempt at comedy.

Lonelystarbuckslover · 28/01/2018 22:20

I agree about Shane J being obsessive btw

RavenclawRealist · 28/01/2018 22:24

It's obviously all opinions isn't I took Amanda's dislike of the word lesbian not to be about her being uncomfortable just that she doesn't like labels she loves who she loves, she's open and honest about it but doesn't want to label it! Which to me is someone very confident and sure!

badabing36 · 28/01/2018 22:26

Ah that makes sense, thanks Lizzie

Lonelystarbuckslover · 28/01/2018 22:27

I don't think she's not confident or sure, I just meant she didn't like the concept of it because as you say, she doesn't like labels. Shane J is big into labels obviously. I've gone off him tonight too

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 28/01/2018 22:29

I guess there isn't a right or wrong is liking labels/liking not to be labelled.
I'm on the amanda side, but I can see how others could need the "group" to belong to.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/01/2018 22:30

I think Amanda just doesn't like lobbying or labels, If she'd given Malika's be a zebra speech we'd all still be quoting it Grin

If that is the case, I'm with her. I don't want people banging on about who and what they are whatever it is. Just be whoever you are and take people as you find them.

Ann didn't have any say in same sex marriage anyway as it didn't go through parliament until three years after she'd retired.

A bit odd though that she would deny equal legal rights because she does seem to be a fair minded person on the whole.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/01/2018 22:32

Massive cross post Blush

I'm liking the idea that in the event of the end of the world we could hunker down in a big shelter where Ann would be wine and biscuit monitor (fair rations for all) and Amanda would give the rallying speech.
If there was a hot tub, froggie suits and glow sticks too we'd probably all die happy Grin

Sole is DS settled now?

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/01/2018 22:37

@duksake I spent rather a long time looking at dressing gowns today and liked Debenhams' selection. I just want something a bit brighter than grey, it washes me out too much.

Have been looking back through the thread and am laughing at the thought of Shane L's sisters watching his silent disco. It was quite a work out though, they were all pretty worn out by the end.

iheartmichellemallon · 28/01/2018 22:46

Amanda for the win after tonight Grin

DoloresvanTroppe · 28/01/2018 22:47

The world does not owe you Shane J. Well done Amanda. Jesus!

picklemepopcorn · 28/01/2018 22:51

I think I'd feel quite safe in a world run by Ann, Enrique. You'd know where you are. No hanky panky in public. Be kind. With Amanda thrown in for a bit of nurturing, Well, I could die happy, too.

RavenclawRealist · 28/01/2018 22:51

So a quick peak over on Twitter and there definitely seems to be more support for Courtney/Shane than Amanda so it's not looking good for an Amanda win [sad{

😂

OnTheList · 28/01/2018 22:57

Shane was horrendous tonight. Trying to turn the whole house against her. Glad they weren't playing his ridiculous games.

Shane and Ann has already had a mature conversation about her voting record, where Shane said that he disagreed wth her views but she was entitled to have them. Whats changed eh?

Disgraceful behaviour on his part, specifically trying to get Wayne to attack her randomly.

I thought Amanda was great tonight. And Wayne. And oddly enough, Ashley.

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 28/01/2018 22:59

Getting the three stooges and ginuwine out has been good for Ashley.

springtulip · 28/01/2018 23:02

If only there were more like Amanda. She's a woman who's grown wise with age. Courtney was out of his depth with her. She's obviously not a bitter woman and couldn't care less about Anns views on gay marriage, even though Anns vote could have affected her. We're so used to people being confrontational and having to make an argument over everything, Amandas a breath of fresh air. She takes people as she finds them. I think she'd make a lovely friend, so non judgemental and loyal.

Amanda to win. Smile

SinisterBumFacedCat · 28/01/2018 23:03

I know I'm in the minority here but I found Amanda's response a tad aggressive there.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 28/01/2018 23:06

Wow! What a brilliant episode. I love how they’re all interacting and having fun - not Shane J, obvs. I loved the look of that party and Wayne leading them all in a dance.
A shame that Shane J is not the intelligent being I thought he was.
Was Amanda MY MUMMY alluding to Shourtney deliberately dropping his skirt on his entrance to the house? Or that he wasn’t a perfectionist like the old school drag queens? I didn’t really get what she was saying.
Also, does Anne go to bed every night with wine and biscuits? Does she wait 30mins after she’s finished and floss and brush? You should never neglect oral hygiene.

FannyWisdom · 28/01/2018 23:08

In my own esteemed opinion knowing sweet fa
Amanda is a true Pansexual.
She loves because she is attracted to the person/people and gives no time to the societal rules.

Ashley has shown her emotional maturity tonight, I'm heartened by it.
At the start I was biased towards Andrew and Courtney, thought Dapper probably wasn't that bad, expected to be impressed by RJ and Maggie and pretty much decided I didn't want to know Jess, Ashley and Jonny because they were trashy reality stars......

Got that all wrong then Grin

HelenaDove · 28/01/2018 23:08

Amanda is fab She mentioned Danny La Rue i remember seeing him on TV a lot when i was growing up.

And i remember Hinge and Brackett.

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 28/01/2018 23:09

I get it sinister. I disagree, but I understand.
Shane was very reasonable even when his temple started twitching, it's easy to think she overreacted when he was so outwardly calm.

But - imo - he was very performative. Being sly so she either agrees with him or she gets upset, but either way it's designed for him to come out on top. Utter tosses.

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 28/01/2018 23:09

*tosser

ducksake · 28/01/2018 23:14

lloyd I think she was saying that all the drag queens she has known have been complete perfectionists and that type of wardrobe malfunction would never have happened accidentally. She was implying that Shourtney done it deliberately for attention / air time / column inches but pretended it was accidental iyswim?
It's interesting because pp's had suggested that right at the beginning.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/01/2018 23:18

Sin It seemed like it came at the end of her tether and of course Shane's a master of his reasoned arguments.

Getting the three stooges and ginuwine out has been good for Ashley
Beyond I totally agree. Ashley had a great show tonight.

It's nice actually to see the younger women speaking quite freely for themselves.

Lloyd Amanda was marking Shane's card that his oh dearie me, what a mishap, twice as we saw it, didn't wash with her at all, because drag queen's are too perfectionist to EVER have mishaps, they just don't. Malfunctions are planned and she wasn't fooled.
Bear in mind none of them know him from Adam and he's been acting the innocent and virtuous all along.
