Just finding myself so happy friends has popped up on Netflix, spending hours awake through the night with a newborn it has been a godsend.

What's your favourite episode?

My husband bought me the box set when i was pregnant 4years ago and it was great during those long feeding sessions . now i rerun it at this time of year in bed with a cup of tea!

lizzlebizzle33 · 25/01/2018 14:49

It always cheers me up, makes me laugh out loud even though I've seen it 50 times before 😍

the apothacary table is my absolute fave one, all characters storylines were good.

other than that, bits of episodes, PIVOT! Holiday armadillo, Rosses tan and Amarndar calling, evr time Phoebe 'sings', ''Im FINE'', loads more.

Although apparantly the snowflake pc brigade are complainging it was all white stuff and no diversity, and sexist.

hmmm. Desmonds? Fresh Prince? Cosby show? black casts, dont see anyone complaining there eh?

QuiQuaiQuod · 26/01/2018 13:01

oh yeh, and the leather pants resolutions one and the banana meat trifle one ''I love Jaques Cousteu!''.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 26/01/2018 13:20

I love it. It got me through a very difficult time in my life and I still find it very comforting and relaxing to watch. It reminds me of happy times and it also makes me feel better about the bad times. I’d love for it to come back.

What I particularly liked when it was originally shown was that each episode felt like a special event. I would look forward to it during the day at work and then get home, sit down with my DH and watch it over a bottle of wine.

There have obviously been better tv shows since but nothing that feels so much a part of my life.

Purplerain101 · 26/01/2018 13:22

PIVOT is great. Also love the one where Ross plays the keyboard with all the silly sound effects. He’s definitely my favourite character. The one where him and Monica do the dance routine for that TV show too haha.

Purplerain101 · 26/01/2018 13:23

Love all the ones where they go back in time to when they were at college and Monica’s wearing a fat suit. She cuts Chandeler’s toe off and brings a carrot in a freezer bag to the hospital by mistake haha

FaithEverPresent · 26/01/2018 13:23

DH and I are watching it again from the start. I do love it but watching Ross get creepier and possessive irritates me, especially since they all bang on about what a ‘nice guy’ he is!

Personally I think the best TV show ever was Buffy..but Friends is great.

Lemonnaise · 26/01/2018 13:31

The one with Eddie, the new flat mate is soooo funny.
"SEE YA PALS"

lizzlebizzle33 · 26/01/2018 15:28

I really love the early ones but the whole thing is full of hilarious moments. Joeys hand twin, the routine. " take a hike wet pants". Ross' sandwich 😂

It completely makes me feel at home and reminds me of a simpler time in my life. I can't say there is any other to programme that can make me feel like this, it's comedy is timeless.

Who is your favourite character? I like Ross best as he’s so embarrassing. I don’t think it would have been the same if any of them were missing from it though

Lemonnaise · 26/01/2018 15:34

Chandler used to be my favourite but as I've got older it's actually Ross, especially in the episode when 'he's fine'.

stitchglitched · 26/01/2018 15:34

All my favourite moments are Ross ones! The best actor and funniest character IMO.

BusterTheBulldog · 26/01/2018 15:38

My fav one was actually on last night, the one where Ross and mike have a boys night in and it’s super awkward Grin

stitchglitched · 26/01/2018 15:38

I love Ross and Joey together, they are my favourite character combo. Loved their exchange when they were both dating the same woman. 'VD boy!' 'Monkey lover!'

stitchglitched · 26/01/2018 15:39

God I cringe at Ross and Mike. When Mike comes back in and Ross looks like he's going to cry. 'But you left!'

Rachie1986 · 26/01/2018 15:43

I love Friends!
Currently rewatching in order. am on series 2.

It's my happy TV show as well

lizzlebizzle33 · 26/01/2018 15:44

I'm on series 7 now so I'm not up to the mine ones yet but looking forward to watching them again, mikes air keyboard playing, rat babies and phoebe meeting his posh family and throwing up in the closet

In answer to your OP: no it isn't.

Though 'pivot' is something I always say when moving large objects around corners. There are othet TV shows i quote from, and it's the only thing I quote from Friends.

lizzlebizzle33 · 26/01/2018 15:49

I love the combo of joey and Ross together too, the one where they take a nap ha ha. I love pheobo and Rachel together too, fave moment of them is planning Monica's wedding shower " flowers or balloons,"
" both"
"We're paying for this you know"
"Neither"

Makes me lol every time

Purplerain101 · 26/01/2018 15:58

Danny DeVito as the stripper is great too

CourtneyLoveIsMySpiritAnimal · 26/01/2018 15:59

Yes. I love Friends. I could probably quote most of the episodes and even though I know the punchline that's coming, I still laugh.

My favourite one is either the Thanksgiving ep with Brad Pitt or the one with 'The Routine'.

StealthPolarBear · 26/01/2018 16:02

We're watching the very early ones. Rachel had some brilliant one liners in the first series

greendale17 · 26/01/2018 16:08

Overrated

Ohyesiam · 26/01/2018 16:11

I have only seen one episode, where they were comparing an " ugly naked man " to a Turkey.
As far as I remember.
