We just want normal noms and no BB interference.

And shopping lists and good tasks.

But Maggie was out and out calling Ann for doing nothing and letting the girls down. Many people let those girls down. But the 'blame' primarily lies with the men who treated them so badly.

I wouldn't want to discuss it if I thought I was going to be scapegoated for an entire government's inaction.

Personally I think Maggie was out of order. That

What happened there?

It has multi=posted and deleted a bit. Confused

Should have said.

That said, I admire her greatly for the stance she took for those girls. I just think she was wrong in letting her personal dislike for Ann cast a very dark and unfair shadow on her exit interview. She is a better woman than that.

futuristic1 · 20/01/2018 19:18

Maggie didn't allow a 'personal' dislike of Ann to overshadow her interview.

Ann chose to save the 'vile sexist' Dapper Laughs over Maggie - just Ann, only Ann - in the year of Women's CBB.

Maggie, along with any reasonable person, was justifiably dismayed and disappointed in Ann's shabby, selfish, vain, misogynistic behaviour.

Women like Ann facilitate and perpetuate the sexist behaviour of the men they consciously choose to favour over women.

They don't have to be 'women's women'.
They don't have to treat women better than men.

They just have to treat them equally - not worse - like Ann does.

It's not hard, it's not difficult and other women should not validate the behaviour of women like Ann.

I completely agree.

thebewilderness · 20/01/2018 19:33

I worked in male dominated fields most of my life and found that outside the job I have nearly nothing in common with them. As a result I have no desire to be friends with most men.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/01/2018 19:39
Hmm

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 20/01/2018 20:09

I don't think it's validation in trying to understand someone's behaviour and I don't think anyone posting here has said they agree with a lot of what Ann has said in the house, or things that she's done historically.

I think you can agree with some of someone's traits and dislike others, especially when you're on the outside looking in and not trying to live with them in isolation 24/7.

That's the beauty of something like this. Light and shade. Even the people we disagree with most have their reasons and their vulnerablities. It's why I really don't care for the term 'fan' I'm not a fan of any of them, but I am enjoying observing, so much as we're allowed to do. Equally, I'm not a hater despite condemning someone say like Daniel, for much of what we've seen, not least the fact that he professes to be a comedian Hmm

My main gripe is that the direction and production doesn't play to my preferences.

I've always worked in male dominated environments and endured more than a fair amount of sexism and male privilege. Despite that I can't say I have an opinion or preference for either sex as friends and colleagues. It all depends on the individual and as such I'm happy in the company of men and women of all persuasions.

Chipstick10 · 20/01/2018 20:26

gosh this thread is heavy going. It’s turning into the tedious AIBU

Redcrayons · 20/01/2018 20:33

Marking my place whilst catching up with last night.

picklemepopcorn · 20/01/2018 20:35

I was just making a comment, remembering yesterday's plea to keep it light!

I'm all in favour of keeping it light! She's just so interesting, dynamically.

I'll have to catch up tomorrow again again, must sleep... 🤯😵😴

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 20/01/2018 20:37

Chip just think of Wayne and Amanda doing the blind folded driving Grin

toldmywrath · 20/01/2018 20:38

If we all agreed with each other, the thread would be quite boring. I don't think A Widdy had a choice about who to save. She and Daniel had to save some one who'd been nominated. And choose a fresh nomination.
So, the person to save would have been Ann or Daniel. But I think the manner in which she explained her choices was harsh( even saying it would have been Ashley had she not been immune, what on earth was the point in that?)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/01/2018 20:48

Isn't it just, Chip? I'm just ignoring the rants now.

MadgeMak · 20/01/2018 20:57

I’m quite enjoying the more in depth analysis on the thread. I like the lighthearted stuff too. There’s a place for both IMHO.

Redcrayons · 20/01/2018 21:00

Watching on 5 star

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 20/01/2018 21:01

I've got 5* on NOW.

SoleBizzz · 20/01/2018 21:01

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/01/2018 21:04

Had a panic then wondering where it had gone. Glad to find it on 5*.

Chipstick10 · 20/01/2018 21:04

SoleBizzz · 20/01/2018 21:05

Anne i am doing so well with my healthy eating. How are you doing?

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 20/01/2018 21:05

No 5* here. I'm going to force DH to watch Ru Paul's Drag Race instead. Never seen it before but 8 glorious series on Netflix.
