Just that really. I love the thought of being able to go off grid and outwit the hunters. I'd probably be rubbish, but i like the idea.
Also wondering how 'real' it is - cameras following you etc.

Couldn't believe the singers posting live on Facebook - not sure if they were caught but how cocky!

Redcrayons · 02/02/2018 09:21

Me and the teens love this, but have to agree this series seems worse for fake set up situations that before. DS often tells me he's going off the grid and getting himself a burner phone so I'll stop texting him when he's out.

My pet peeves, when they find out that someone is In the middle of nowhere and the hunter just happens to be an hour away. And also how much make up the women in the control room wear this series.

The bit when they are running to the extraction point in the final episode has us all shouting at the telly.

ToffeeUp · 02/02/2018 10:16

The scene with Alex and his mum at least seemed genuine, especially compared to everything else that was happening. The singing milkmen thing was just ridiculous as was the free mason friend 'accidentally' giving away info about the sim card.

MultiGrey · 02/02/2018 11:25

I so wanted to punch the guy who told them about the SIM card

MultiGrey · 02/02/2018 11:26

And I really want Alex to win

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 02/02/2018 15:35

I cried at Alex's bits to camera about being bullied, I so want him to win. Although could have done without ever seeing Bob in his pants [brain bleach].

Petalflowers · 02/02/2018 17:34

I'm also wanting Alex to win.

I loved it when he was able to speak to the woman and ask to camp in her garden. He was so chuffed with himself. He has really matured and gained confidence.

Must admit, I quite liked the chief reading the bedtime story.

Looks like the singing pair's plan is going to backfire. How come the groundforce were only eight miles away?

Last year, the hunters were able to offer financial rewards to the public in return for information. They haven't done that this year.

SparkleFizz · 02/02/2018 19:15

Even if you could guarantee the hunters were hours away, doing a stunt like broadcasting a singing gig live on Facebook is just asking for trouble.

SymphonyofShadows · 03/02/2018 07:50

The singing blokes haven't been in it much, or if they have they are so dull they are forgettable. I've decided it's all bollocks, but I suppose if they were allowed to just bugger off with a GoPro then they'd never be caught.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/02/2018 08:34

I don't understand why none of them use whatsapp or similar to communicate.

Cherrypie32 · 08/02/2018 21:31

How come they’ve all ended up in the same place at the end...do they have too??

Cherrypie32 · 08/02/2018 21:43

OK so there is an extraction zonebut what stops the Hunters waiting on the jetty before they get on the boat????

Cherrypie32 · 08/02/2018 21:44

Oh the fugitives know but the Hunters don’t...ignore me (well everyone is!)

Frith1975 · 08/02/2018 22:03

Hoorah! Hope all those Volvos are having their front tyres replaced now!

stargazer2030 · 08/02/2018 22:04

Yaaay! Go Alex. So glad they all won. I know it's all set up but I still enjoyed it.

Petalflowers · 08/02/2018 22:08

was a lovely moment when Bob and Alex met up, although I was inwardly thinking, don't stand still, keep running!

Thought the other two, would get caught at the end. They've never had four win before before. £25,000 each.

One of the hunters looked absolutely gutted at the end.

Well done Alex. The comfidence and maturity you have shown during this programme has been impressive.

dailyshite · 08/02/2018 22:14

Had a little tear when Bob and Alex met up, and when Bob pointed out how well Alex had done in spite of all the bullies and teachers with low expectations.

Dontsweathesmallstuff · 08/02/2018 22:14

This is first time I've seen the series but having a son with asd, we were really happy to see Alex beat the hunters 😀😄

Cherrypie32 · 08/02/2018 22:18

Presumably we have to take the result with buckets of salt like most reality tv competitions but I also shed a tear for Bob & Alex and sent s massive ‘f**@k* you’ the the hunter twats

CurbsideProphet · 08/02/2018 22:18

Petalflowers we were also saying "stop hugging! Keep going! Don't get caught now" Grin

Very glad that Alex won, as he seemed to really blossom during the 4 weeks, if that doesn't sound patronising.

ToffeeUp · 08/02/2018 22:50

Yes, good on Alex, not too bothered about Bob to be honest but it was a nice moment.

With the milkmen, it feels very much like the whole bedtime story/karaoke scene was just set up to give them some airtime as they went pretty much under the radar. I liked the reaction of the people in the pub.

SparkleFizz · 08/02/2018 23:19

So pleased that Alex won Grin

IhaveChillyToes · 09/02/2018 00:07

I know it is a "set up" programme and so sort of fake

But I was actually clapping and cheering Alex tonight

So chuffed he won SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Also, to a lower level Bob SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

I am so pleased that the decision to split up worked out for them both, cos I was worried a bit at the time

The one thing I would do is buy lots of burner phones and hide them in a locker with keypad opening, also hide money in locker

Also get burner phones for all of my friends and family

If someone gave me a lift check thru have actually turned their phone OFF before the car or lorry moved!!!!!

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 09/02/2018 10:14

I was Shock at the hunter telling that woman that Bob was a liar and didn't even have a son. What a bastard.

Mrsmadevans · 09/02/2018 18:16

Yes me too but the lady was brilliant Bless her.
