I still can't believe (given the loads of exams you have to pass) and the rigorous training required to be a vet, that anyone as idiotic as Paddy could be one? It's not just once, but repeated instances that don't seem true for somebody in his position. And as for him being a magnet to women......

Rebecca is a really shit actress and needs to go back to acting school imo, it’s been said in previous threads that Emmerdale must read MN so I hope to dear god that they read this and see that so many of us think she’s shit, the kids in soaps aren’t always the best actors (asides from a few) but you can excuse them due to their age, however when it comes to adults then there’s no excuse! She’s cringey AF!!

Emmerdale is shit atm, they won awards last year or year before and it’s like they think that they don’t have to try anymore and it’s quite sad really.

Whoever does Paddy & Marlons ‘humour’ really needs sacked, they are more cringey than Rebecca’s crap acting, I get embarrassed watching those 2 and this is when I watch it alone!

The storyline with Ross being in a ‘pull a pig’ type bet was a load of crap and not realistic.

I know everyone seems to love Aaron but I feel he over acts at times with the looks & mannerisms, also give him a lighter storyline ffs.

Joe with his ridiculously posh voice makes me cringe too.

Kate Oates needs to come back pronto, to fix this pile of crap that’s on 5 nights a week, I wish she could be shared between ED & Corrie.

I've never been keen on Brenda or Laurel but I did used to like Bob.

I am completely sick of him and Laurel now, I don't like this storyline and I don't want to see it end with Bob and Laurel as a couple.

See I like Laurel but I’ve never liked Brenda and I want to smash my tv when it’s on! Bob is as funny, and as irresistible, as Paddy!

I’m very much of the opinion that Kate has well and truly fucked Corrie so she can back well away from Emmerdale.

Their storylines aren’t an issue, they’re light and dark enough for the programme. The issue IMO is attention to detail - accents, hammy acting etc - all so easily sorted.

The vet scenes tonight were tedious and unfunny but as a fan of Press Gang from back in the day, I enjoyed seeing Paul Reynolds (Colin).

Weill I am really enjoying it at the moment and loving all the different interactions which give it that village feel but I still can complain!

Laurel and Bob laughing at the fly was cringeworthy especially when Vanessa was fake laughing at the inspector and Laurel's laugh sounded so fake too! I just don't buy it. I hoped they would give Bob a story but not this shite. Why does it always have to be cheating? They could have done something about his children instead. I love Alfie though and he seems to like having Bob around.

I still can't make head nor tail of Rebecca. She can't remember a round from a minute ago but could remember what happened to Ross yesterday.

Frilly do you really think Oates has fucked Corrie? Imo Corrie, atm is better than Emmerdale by miles, at least the humour in Corrie is actually funny, unlike Emmerdale.

I hate that they’ve made Ross ‘a victim’, Cain has went all mushy now and Ross was the next sexy bad boy but they’ve gone and fucked that up royally.

Emmerdale is miles better. I just don't care about most of the Corrie characters whereas I still miss people who left Emmerdale ages ago!

I only miss Carl King & Ashley. I was gutted when the producer Stuart Blackburn, wrote Carl in as a rapist and then got Cameron to kill him, I know it was 6 years ago this October but I’m still pissed off at that!

Emmerdale can be better than Corrie but right now it’s cheesy as hell and I only tune in every now & then.

Yes I agree with you about Carl. Was so out of character for him to try to rape Chas but he actually got killed before he could.

I’ve obviously forgotten that he didn’t actually get to rape her. I loved Carl and I hated that producer for ages afterwards, especially as he went to Coronation Street a few months later, he wasnt even at Emmerdale for a year & he sacked a really good, and popular character just for the sake of a good storyline! My friend & I mourned Carl for months & we looked up Blackburn afterwards & from his picture, we decided that he ‘looked’ gay & that he probably fancied Tom Lister & that Tom had rejected his advances therefore Blackburn sacked him!!! We were fuming!!😤 😤😤 Still not over it!

Yep, the dark storylines are really too much for the cobbles of Corrie IMO - I’m not alone reading the Corrie threads either!

Corrie is awful compared to Emmerdale. Kate Oates authorising a sixth episode last year was a terrible decision because the writers and actors aren't talented enough to maintain quality over that period. Even five episodes was too much for them.

By the way, Stuart Blackburn (who did an even worse job in Corrie than KO) now writes for Emmerdale.

He used to be the boss but came back as a writer after screwing up Corrie.

I think it would be quite good if ED & CS let us, the viewers, come up with a few storylines, and it could be a competition for whoever comes up with the best storyline!
