So Joe is the new lord of the manor, but who is Graham really.

Will this be the thread where Moira and Cain finally get back together

Will there be wedding bells for Bob and Brenda, I don't think so

Will Marlon and the head teacher get along nicely or will it end up going nowhere slowly until we all want to scream at the telly

What will Lachlan do next.....................................

I really like Rhona and Pete together.

CassandraCross · 08/02/2018 20:42

Debbie really is a disaster isn't she, the programme was so much better when she was away in whatever country she was supposed to be in.

Littlewhistle · 08/02/2018 21:06

Graham the man of mystery to the rescue, Why throw acid over the best looking guy on the show - plenty of ugly ones to choose from!

My son (who thought Rebecca character was terrible in The Inbetweeners))was quite impressed with her skills whilst in a coma!

ellenanora5 · 08/02/2018 21:20

Oh my god, bloody Debbie, god she's fecking useless.

Poor Ross Sad

Getting a bit bored with the Dingle house saga now.

Littlewhistle Grin isn't she dreadful

Didn't they have house insurance?

Today's episode was frustrating- wanted to see Ross and instead we got ransoms rebuilding the Dingles cave n alkie Gabby.

southeastdweller · 08/02/2018 22:45

It's a shame about Ross but it's always nice to see him without his top on Wink

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/02/2018 22:52

Indeed south Grin poor rossy looks like he will need some hugs.

Jojoanna · 08/02/2018 23:00

Dingle house saga is silly,, I’m bored with it now

JaneJeffer · 08/02/2018 23:18

southeast we have to look for the positives Grin

borderline11 · 08/02/2018 23:42

Why on earth are they doing an acid attack storyline. How bloody grim. I always think something like that can encourage possible real life attacks when they're shown so casually like that.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 09/02/2018 00:03

Possibly because acid attacks have been on the rise. There was a ridiculous knob of a Youtube prankster pretending to throw acid over people just last week!

CassandraCross · 09/02/2018 00:21

Indeed why scar one of the best looking and most fun characters, seriously Emmerdale?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 09/02/2018 00:30

I am suspecting that it’s setting up a storyline for him and Debbie to torture each other again for a bit.

bonfireheart · 09/02/2018 06:45

It wasn't done casually - he looked in severe pain and you could see even wooden Pete was broken seeing his brother like that. So many people on social media saying it was grim and not what they watch Emmerdale for - Emmerdale a soap that's covered child abuse, rape, murder, suicide and so many other difficult topical subjects. If you watch Emmerdale you know what to expect and hard hitting story lines is what they do. And you could say "copy cat" about any of their storylines. Moira pushed a woman off a bridge and is walking around all smiley. Robert pushed Katie and killed her - no comeuppance. Joe hired a digger to smash someone's house. Debbie paid someone to plant drugs. All of these are things anyone could copy easily but many don't.

borderline11 · 09/02/2018 08:29

If just one person copied is too many. There's no need for hard hitting stories so much. But when i say "casually" i mean maybe not much thought for the possibility of copycat actions?

QueenDaisy · 09/02/2018 08:29

There was plenty of warnings before both episodes were shown, if anyone didn’t want to watch it, they didn’t have to. On a lighter note, let’s hope the make up artists on Emmerdale are more continuous than the ones at Corrie (I mean no offence to them), Todd’s Scar was never in the same place or same size & I imagine acid burns will be harder to get right.

southeastdweller · 09/02/2018 08:52

How can the Emmerdale bosses prepare us for hard hitting storylines apart from to give warnings? I don't mind dark stories in soaps as long as they're balanced with light ones and I guess the social media reaction is due in a large part to the popularity of Ross.

borderline11 · 09/02/2018 09:29

I might just have to give up watching. Shame really, i used to love Emmerdale. I've practically given up on Corrie too, too many dark depressing storylines. Nothing like how they used to be.

JaneJeffer · 09/02/2018 09:51

I think Emmerdale is the best it's been for ages for the last couple of months. There's a good balance of drama and humour.

The acid attack was done by the power of suggestion so it wasn't graphic at all and we know Mike Parr will be great. It has more impact because Ross is so vain (and who can blame him).

Susiesoap7 · 09/02/2018 09:53

Ennerdale getting ridiculous, acid attack. Very bad acting! Rebecca rubbish! Debbie please get rid of her!
Just put Zak n Lisa in a care home
I think I'm done with it

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 09/02/2018 10:03

The whole “Brittney” thing makes sense now. I was confused about why they had Ross with this new woman who couldnt get enough of him as it didn’t seem to be going anywhere story wise. But it makes sense now that they were reminding us of his vanity and ego and being loved by the ladies which will obviously change now.

borderline11 · 09/02/2018 10:04

I agree about Debbie Dingle, her "acting" consists of a "hard stare"., and how ridiculous are her "mechanic" clothes. Spotless dungarees turned down for affect rather than for doing any work. I know it's not real but she's the most unrealistic mechanic ever.

southeastdweller · 09/02/2018 10:22

It'll be interesting to see what the writers do with this story going forward. He's one of the most gorgeous actors in any of the soaps so will the scars miraculously heal soon or will they be permanent, thus limiting Ross's pulling power?

CassandraCross · 09/02/2018 10:26

borderline Debbie's hair is irritating the hell out of me it just hangs and makes her sour, grumpy face look even more sour and grumpy and she has the personality of a whiny wet fish.

QueenDaisy · 09/02/2018 11:23

There is nothing nice about the character of Debbie Dingle.
