So Joe is the new lord of the manor, but who is Graham really.

Will this be the thread where Moira and Cain finally get back together

Will there be wedding bells for Bob and Brenda, I don't think so

Will Marlon and the head teacher get along nicely or will it end up going nowhere slowly until we all want to scream at the telly

What will Lachlan do next.....................................

And please please please Emmerdale writers, Debbie cannot be the new Queen of Home Farm. I just want her to suffer, not ever be on top!

CassandraCross · 07/02/2018 13:59

The Jo Tate-Debbie relationship thing is a bit odd - Joe Tate is half-brother to Noah who is also half-brother to Debbie??? I know on one side it's by virtue of Charity and on the other by virtue of Chris Tate but it's still weird.

Glad some other posters mentioned the Bernice and Nicola wedding thing, I had a vague memory of something wedding related happening but couldn't remember whether it was Bernice or Nicola who had been betrayed at the altar. Was Bernice married to Ashley at the time and did she run off with Carlos and leave Gabby with Ashley? Is Carlos the father to Deedee?

Weren't Nicola and David an item at one time?

CassandraCross · 07/02/2018 14:03

I really want to know what secrets silent Graham is hiding, he's a far more intriguing character than anyone else in it at the moment.

Did I see Pearl in the cafe during the 'Save Harriet' bit last night?

MrsSteveMcDonald · 07/02/2018 14:50

Yes Pearl was there

borderline11 · 07/02/2018 15:01

Why they've kept Rebecca in is beyond me. One of the worst actresses in the history of the soap.

borderline11 · 07/02/2018 15:08

I agree about Brenda's acting, she always has that little girl voice, highly irritating.

CassandraCross · 07/02/2018 16:36

It's the hands to chest thing that really winds me up with Brenda, the amount of times she has done it recently is rage inducing especially when coupled with that whiny little girl voice, it's ham acting straight out of the Ham Actors Handbook Chapter 1.

Flomy · 07/02/2018 17:02

Who do we think are the best actors?

Personally I think Eric, Ross and Lochlan are good.

Zac and Lisa not great.

Nicola and her bloody waddle drives me insane.

CassandraCross · 07/02/2018 17:38

I'd agree with your list Flomy but add Moira, Cain and Tracey. The reason for Tracey is because of the scenes with her and Eric after Finn died, I thought they both played those with exactly the right amount of pathos.

Another who annoys me Pete he is so one dimensional, I was hoping he'd be the one who'd pushed Emma, Victoria also irritates me and I was so pleased that Adam boring, useless Adam went.

bonfireheart · 07/02/2018 18:17

I think with the right storyline and script, Liv has a lot of potential.
Aaron and Lachlan are both brilliant.
Paddy is just dire - with only the new headmistress worse than him.

CassandraCross · 07/02/2018 18:33

I think Liv could be good with the right script and story-line so far the ones they have given her have been poor, just how many times are they going to do the alcohol one with her and Gabby?

I have a soft spot for Aaron and did love the interaction/relationship between him and Paddy but I'm sick to death of seeing Aaron crying he should do what Moira did and have some of the crying removed from the script. I'd like to see story-lines with Aaron and Liv that are lighthearted and play on the humour that both those actors can do.

JaneJeffer · 07/02/2018 20:09

Aaron does nowhere near the amount of crying he did when he was with Jackson...now that was a depressing story!

Liv is annoying and she has no manners.

ellenanora5 · 07/02/2018 23:54

Pete and Rebecca are the worst actors

I think a lot of the actors can be great.

Laurel can be fantastic when she gets a great story

I thought Rhona was bloody good with the whole Pierce thing

Lisa is great
Lachlan is a great baddie

Some of the storylines are crap though, why would Cain agree to do that for Debbie, any other Dad would tell her to cop on and grow up and get over it, why would he risk upsetting Moira just after they get back together.

OP posts:
Smidge001 · 08/02/2018 00:00

I agree. There's no way Cain would do anything to do with drugs after getting back with Moira. Not a chance.

bonfireheart · 08/02/2018 06:23

And why would Robert let Lachlan have his son?!
Yes Rebecca is the mother but Robert is Seb's father. She's in a vulnerable state and Lachlan well I'm sure even social services would say no to him looking after Seb.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 08/02/2018 11:38

Belle is fucking drippy, she has never been a convincing actress but I think she’s got worse recently. Whiney and pointless.

CassandraCross · 08/02/2018 11:42

Yes Bonfire after all that trouble Robert went to to have Seb he just hands him over to Lachlan as you would.

QueenDaisy · 08/02/2018 12:18

I agree that the guy who plays Pete is not a very good actor, he’s very wooden. I know we’re not supposed to like the character of Joe Tate, but I do 😳

southeastdweller · 08/02/2018 12:51

Faith (Sally Dexter) is really good and I’m increasingly impressed with the lad who plays Jake. There’s many great actors in Emmerdale but they’re mostly underused.

MinorRSole · 08/02/2018 13:25

Apparently the actress who plays Victoria and the actor who blames Aaron were sleeping together behind Ross actors back - must make work a bit awkward

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/02/2018 14:21

I thought Rhona was bloody good with the whole Pierce thing

She was. It was very well done. I have no idea why they would pair someone as talented as Rhona with the wooden plank that is Pete!

JaneJeffer · 08/02/2018 19:38

Oh no Ross. I think my stomach actually turned over when that happened Sad

MrsSteveMcDonald · 08/02/2018 19:55

Bloody Debbie's fault

Frillyhorseyknickers · 08/02/2018 20:07

I know Debbie has the most dipshit ideas.

Rebecca’s “faint” most unconvincing thing ever.

qazxc · 08/02/2018 20:15

Debbie on learning that Ross has been victim of an acid attack and in hospital "Why do you have his phone?". Actually I don't think one of them asked whether he was alright.
