I watched First Dates Hotel last week. I love Vanessa and Julian.

The guy in the orange suit..........lovely bloke.

DoloresvonTrope · 17/01/2018 23:35

I don't see anything sleazy about Ginuwine. Amanda is gorgeous. Those eyes- better than Bette Davis.

HelenaDove · 17/01/2018 23:36

Genuine ............9 kids by 5 different women And he was banging on about having to have his "me time" in relationships.

When someone tells you who they are.........

i would not be remotely interested in someone like this.

HelenaDove · 17/01/2018 23:40

Dolores if you watch Carry on Cleo and Carry on Cabbie (the latter was filmed in black and white. ) her gorgeous doe eyes would give Liz Taylors a run for her money if Liz was still with us.

SleepIsForTheWeek · 17/01/2018 23:41

Luke hasn't aged a dot! He was in it 9 years ago!

HelenaDove · 17/01/2018 23:45

BOTS going on about how Dapper has changed. BULLSHIT.

Are Channel 5 thinking about giving him a show................seem to remember them having the same idea with Jim Davidson Another raving misogynist about 4 to 5 years ago I didnt watch it then but it was in the press at the time.

DoloresvonTrope · 17/01/2018 23:50

Let me tell you about Genuwine- he has children by 4 different women and he was married to one woman Sole, so it's not like he was dipping it everywhere.
His wanting time for himself probably stems from his depression brought on by the suicide of his father and the death of his mother shortly after from Cancer. Genuwine has attempted suicide once while at University.
So, sleazy? I don't think so-but maybe boring.

HelenaDove · 17/01/2018 23:51

Ah i had no idea Id never heard of him until this month.

picklemepopcorn · 17/01/2018 23:53

I like Ann, and I like the tension her morality brings. She seems pretty open minded, just doesn't want in your face crudity. How she bears it, I don't know. I'd struggle, and I'm not quite ancient yet.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 17/01/2018 23:57

9 kids by 4 or 5 different women is still grim, whether or not he's been married to one of them.

Some people have done worse.

mirialis · 18/01/2018 00:03

pickle

Welcome and

I don't like Ginuwine! Is it just me?

No.

The guy is a twat with 9 kids, a lot of exes or "baby mommas", and still wants to keep going

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/01/2018 00:04

Actually reading Wikipedia it looks like more than 5 women, as it says 2 by the wife, one from a "previous" relationship, three by three different women - so that's 6 kids and 5 women - and then he says he actually has 9 children, so the other 3 kids must have at least one mum between them.

"Ginuwine was married to the American rapper Tonya M. Johnston [18][19][20] better known by her stage name, Solé. Ginuwine met Solé in June 1999 and they began dating in October 1999. They were married on September 8, 2003 in Cayman Islands. They lived in Maryland.[21] They have two daughters together: Story (born March 29, 2001)[22] and Dream Sarae Lumpkin (born November 1, 2002).[23] He has a son Elgin, Jr. (born January 30, 1992) from a previous relationship, as well as three other children by three different women.[24] In February 2009, Ginuwine announced he has nine children.[25][26]

In November 2014 he announced he and Solé had separated.[27] Their divorce was finalized July 22, 2015.[28]"

He talks about being a good dad, and family being important to him. You can't be a good dad to five different families. He's at best a Disney Dad.

He doesn't talk nicely about Ashley when she's not there. I don't know why the guys don't warn her what a player he is.

picklemepopcorn · 18/01/2018 00:07

I'm off to google jess on the other programme.

HelenaDove · 18/01/2018 00:09

YY pickle Agree.

HelenaDove · 18/01/2018 00:10

I can just imagine what the press would be saying if it was a woman with 9 kids in the BB house who was behaving in the same way.

Only1scoop · 18/01/2018 00:11

'better known by her stage name, Solé.'

Shock
DoloresvonTrope · 18/01/2018 00:12

I've heard of men in your country UK who are deadbeat dads, so you are all dissing on Ginuwine because he has children by different baby mammas? C'mon!

HelenaDove · 18/01/2018 00:14

Yes there are Dolores and i think they should be vilified too but they ARENT.

Anyway its not mutually exclusive.

And im married but would definately think twice about dating a man with kids as im childfree by choice. And its still women who are expected to do the brunt of the childcare.

IhaveChillyToes · 18/01/2018 00:17

Thanks for new thread SmileSmileSmile

HelenaDove · 18/01/2018 00:17

Well Delores if all the UK deadbeat dads were in the BB house id have said the same about them

Only1scoop · 18/01/2018 00:17

Are you Mrs Delores Lumpkin

By any chance?...

mirialis · 18/01/2018 00:20

I'm glad CBB decided to show Ann's stance on rule-breaking by specifically including her admiration for Rosa Parks and Wilberforce (re: abolition of slavery). Because I saw some stuff on twitter today about what a dreadful racist she is but I know she has certainly talked about Wilberforce being a champion of standing against the rule for what is right before CBB as someone I know interviewed her about the subject a few years ago, and it's not some crawl back to erase her Meghan M comments. I totally understand that for POC those "background" comments were highly alerting but for all of the opinions Ann has that I massively and whole-heartedly disagree with, I don't think she is consciously racist and therefore would be thinking that MM's skin colour is the reason "there's going to be trouble ahead" in the royal marriage. I think she would absolutely be saying the same about any "celeb" who was famous for body con outfits (not least an American) who'd already got a divorce under their belt.

picklemepopcorn · 18/01/2018 00:30

I agree. She isn't prepared to dilute her opinions to take into account other peop,es sensibilities. She allowed herself to sound racist, when she intended to criticise someone for not being of a traditional background, having baggage and potentially not managing the pressure. I can see her reasoning- I just think she's wrong.

Same with her views on feminism. But they are shaped by her experience of a world where women couldn't marry and Work, or get a mortgage without a man.
