I also missed Dapper's comments about Ann, what did he say?
Given this BB was announced as 'The Year of the Woman' I think Ann is a fascinating character as a housemate. I love that she knows who she is, she has a solid sense of self and is clearly brighter and more articulate than pretty much everyone else in the house.
She certainly bugs some of them though, by doing her own thing and not 'going native' with the prevailing house view.
Malika did herself no favours with her tirade about Ann. She was very domineering whilst delivering that speech, not allowing other contributions. I dislike her intensely.
Ann is not stopping the wilder housemates from partying long into the night. She just removes herself from the situation at a certain time, which as a 70 year old she is perfectly entitled to do. If C5 wanted a different BB this year then they have to accept that not everyone wants to sit smoking into the early hours..
I think weaker characters are threatened by this sense of certainty.
I agree with all the previous posters that the C5 editors have lost the memo about the year of the woman theme, by focussing on that thick 'lad' Andrew and giving so much airtime to Ashley/Ginuwine. What a fool that girl is. All that fuss about wanting to share a bed with Malika's and five minutes later she is in his bed. She is clearly desperate to be noticed and is looking to BB to enhance her prospects.
It's a shame how Shane/Courtney has sunk to the lowest level of conversation. I thought he was potentially interesting but he is obsessed with Ann and her impact on the house.
