Our Girl and Captain James Addicts XLV

Waiting out for the next series of Our Girl set in Nigeria. Some of us are still mourning the passing of Elvis Harte. All discussions on Captain James and his team welcome here (as well as other things from time to time).

Oh gosh, remember how we all watched this episode on the edge of our seats wondering how it would end. I particularly remember the announcer telling us to keep watching until the end of the credits at the end. Thank goodness I did.

I am starting play now - and the recap begins....

Helicopter is landing and Molly is running from towards the hospital.

CJ looks a goner to me here! And then Smurf comes out with all the claptrap about CJ having to being resuscitated.

Evil eyes from Smurf. Molly looks a bloody mess and I mean that literally.

I really thought CJ would be the one not to make it back to the UK.

I always get the feeling with this scene that Major Beck isn't quite sure how to handle a crying female in these circumstances.

Poor Molly trying to do the debrief. She thinks it's all her fault thanks to Smurf and is so guilty.

She must sound crazy to them.

When Kinders tells Molly to sanitise CJ's kit for any porn, I can honestly say this is not something which had ever occurred to me.

Kinders does not know there is no longer a current Mrs James, but an ex Mrs James.

I really don't think Kinders would let her go through the stuff - Fancy letting junior medic possibly find some porn in her Senior officer's desk.

Oh Sam looks so cute in that photo.

Qaseem is such a lovely guy.

Is "normalisation" actually a real word?

It must feel like she's packing for someone who has died. Remember the Rosayaba. He didn't drink much did he - how ungrateful.

Now she finds Sam's stuff, the pics and then the divorce letter. So he wasn't lying, Molly.

Thinking back though, I can't really imagine someone like CJ saying something so romantic to Molly back at the bunker - I'm not sure it's entirely in character - don't shoot me!

Ah ilove but Mrs James could be CJ's mother?

This is the only scene where I quite like Kinders where they are on the beach at Akrotiri. I am otherwise not a fan, sorry.

PTSD on the beach - sounds a bit like a cocktail but very unpleasant.

They all think she and Smurf were together.

Molly has flashbacks on the flight back to Brize Norton.

Surely The Boss would have needed surgery the moment he arrived at Bastion - how does Kinders know he needs another one?

Just thinking similarities with Georgie having PTSD on the beach.

Am I right that Molly goes AWOL to go and see CJ? I've never been able to work it out properly.

I love them all here turning up to greet her. Wonder if Shazza's minding the kids.
