Waiting out for the next series of Our Girl set in Nigeria. Some of us are still mourning the passing of Elvis Harte. All discussions on Captain James and his team welcome here (as well as other things from time to time).

I had never even been in a fan club before so I felt really daring and I think a bit daft at about 70 doing something so 21st century
I think it was when I realised there were others of similar age that I dared to de-lurk.

Happy to be flexible on the day ilove if it needs altering on some weeks. Did you want to change to Mondays?

Off to bed now. I've started a voluntary job with a local charity working with some visually impaired people. Need to be up early tomorrow. Currently there are not two 8 o'clocks in my day so need to make an exception for tomorrow!

Tuesdays, usually, and Thursdays, or Sundays

If Rhu and Flower are up for a change of date, it's ok by me. Thursdays would be good. I will struggle with a couple of Sundays unfortunately.

I entertained myself thinking how to classify the various OG couples according to this article. Georgie + Elvis, Georgie + Dr Dull, Georgie _ Milan, Maisie + Rab, Jason/Abu and Saira.
And then there are the OG1 couples, which I don't know about.

Oh, that sounds as if it will need quite some thought putting into it eejit. I need to get my head in the game, as CJ is known to say, about our watchalong. I might need to leave your little task until tomorrow. Rhu is probably better at things like this than me .....

I had a quick look eejit and realised I'd need to apply a considerable amount of brain power to that. I will take time at what CJ would call an "appro'prt" moment to read, absorb and cogitate on a response. For a moment I wished I had the vocabulary of Leonard Sachs when introducing the acts on The Good Old Days. What a curious idea of entertainment that was in its day - although as a child I always fancied the idea of dressing up like all the ladies in the big hats.
