I certainly am

I don't think it's a good as it was when it first started, and it can be a tad predictable at times but I still love this show

Toddler - I concur! But GP's didn't carry benpen then as far as I know. I remember it just becoming routine in my area in the 90's

Pebble21uk · 25/02/2018 21:01

Is it me, or is CTM turning into EastEnders... how many tragedies can they fit into one episode!!

IrenetheQuaint · 25/02/2018 21:02

Really, one midwife risking her life rescuing a family from a burning building and another coming down with life-threatening septicaemia in the same episode... it's soaptastic.

Polarbearflavour · 25/02/2018 21:03

Barbara Sad

widgetbeana · 25/02/2018 21:05

No, Tom can’t get back with Trixie, they were a terrible fit. It’s was like one of those teenage crush things, two good looking people assuming they should get together because they are the ‘pretty popular people’. When in actuality they had nothing in common, besides, Trixie has discovered sex now!

No Barbara has to live, I concur with what sister Monica Joan said at the end, I would rather she died than Barbara.

SimonBridges · 25/02/2018 21:09

My first thought was that they couldn’t give her sepsis so soon after Nic in The Archers.

I think meningitis as that last scene looked like a spinal tap. But I have very limited medical knowledge.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 25/02/2018 21:12

Don’t worry lads, if there was ever a time for a lack of urgency it’s when there’s a fire

🙄🙄

Good grief!

StripySocksAndDocs · 25/02/2018 21:18

They better not kill, or maim, Barabara.

CannotEvenThink, I think you should hang your head in shame saying such terrible words!!! Shock

Birdbath99 · 25/02/2018 21:30

doryn my MIL gave birth go dh in the 60’s and her gp told her to smoke to have a small baby 😱

BlueLego · 25/02/2018 21:47

They’re married in real life cannot

2anddone · 25/02/2018 21:51

Is it me or was the acting shocking this evening? The firemen didn’t seem at all rushed, the conversation seemed stilted it didn’t feel as ‘real’ as usual and it never feels that real!!

BlueLego · 25/02/2018 22:00

Yes 2 I thought that too!

squarecorners · 25/02/2018 22:00

Thanks ladies, I now can't un-see the teal...
But yes, if Barbara dies, we riot!

IndigoApple · 25/02/2018 22:01

Was anyone else surprised the doctor hadn't heard about a fatal crash in the area when he was treating the widow?

squarecorners · 25/02/2018 22:07

Did anyone else think the overprotected teenager was going to get toxic shock syndrome from Valerie's tampons? My ctm predictions are getting ropey...

Tigresswoods · 25/02/2018 22:08

Bam. Dead husband

Bam. Shop & livelihood up in flames.

Bam. Your baby is arriving the same night.

Bam. It's actually twins. Obvs.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/02/2018 22:09

I thought the poor Irish mum must think she is cursed to lose her dh and have her home and business burn down a week later! ! Seemed a bit much for the poor woman and totally unrealistic the car her dh was driving didn't appear to be going fast enough to kill the poor chap.

I thought meningitis re Barbara as well, she better not die! Tom was very annoying tonight, he creeped me out a bit the way he kept staring at Barbara.

Frombothsidesnow · 25/02/2018 22:20

Based on the speed that Fred and his mates got that shop restored and pristine, they should be working for insurers. We laughed at the sauntering fire brigade.

I was glad to see that the mental institution was fully up on the real trend.

Frombothsidesnow · 25/02/2018 22:20

TEAL trend. Sodding phone.

Optimist1 · 25/02/2018 22:22

My medical knowledge is limited to what features on TV medical shows, but I too thought meningitis. Unless of course there's a rare complaint called Tealitis!

I was thankful that when the shop was being re-painted they decided to stick with the original brown rather than more teal. Grin

westridingpauperlunaticasylum · 25/02/2018 22:25

Tealitis😂😂😂

Frombothsidesnow · 25/02/2018 22:25
Grin

It was definitely meningitis. So sure of that that I'm surprised to realise they only named the septicaemia.

BlueLego · 25/02/2018 22:28

I was totally oblivious to any teal!

Yes I thought Tom was a bit letchy looking tonight!

BlueLego · 25/02/2018 22:29

Where had the Irish woman’s kids been staying while she was in hospital?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/02/2018 22:29

Bit scary that you could put a pregnant teen in a mental institution and then keep her there indefinitely. That was all a bit one flew over the cuckoos nest, am grateful that attitudes have changed.
