Yes but its Gemma and the Newton & Ridleys boy. And to be honest Corries best asset has always been its humour.
I get pissed off when they forget that - but they have done so many very dramatic scenes when David other characters are available has just said something so funny. It eases the tension.

Eww! He's way too old for her. I think Alyah will have problems running the factory and have to agree to give the Connors half the factory to get them to come help. I can see sabotage ahead (by Carla) Beth and Co for some weird reason seem to want the shrill strict Carla back over the milder Alyah so may get involved.

If Johnny and Carla are sticking around - which I assume they are - it seems to be the only way forward for them to get the factory back or start up a rival set up.

Maybe one of Carla/Nick/Peter/Toyah/Leanne/Robert/Tracey/Steve shouid get penicillin-resistant gonorrhoea just to watch all the others panic.

Nick will come back and start up again with Leanne, who will have an affair with Peter leave him for Peter, who will than have an affair with Carla and leave her for Carla who will than have an affair with Nick etc etc and begin the endless merry go round that is Leanne, Nick,Peter and Carla
