I'm assuming she's out to get Bethany for reporting her Dad, but I could be wrong.

Last nights episode had me sobbing, poor Eva. I've been a huge Toyah fan but she is grating now so selfish.

I wonder who he leaves the factory to - it should be Carla since it was her that helped him get it back on its feet and gave him the money in the first place.

I thought it was very moving.and then showing the other side with david suddenly seeing a chink in his despair and just giving out his secret to shauna.so brave even if it is just a soap line.it felt like something that could have happened in his situation.
I loved this episode the reactions.gails little speech.so tasteful.so emotional.and all different views from the other folk.beth(what a cock) but also then sallys sis and the other being able to put her in her place.

I was blubbing throughout - I thought it was a brilliant episode, so moving. Eva and Johnny especially. (Kate was the weak link tho). It really made me think about how hard this issue is, especially for men.

One of my students' good friends took his own life last week at the age of 16, on the eve of his GCSEs. I also have a friend whose dh did the same thing a couple of years ago , leaving my friend and her 4 dc . If only they had felt able to get help. It's heartbreaking.

I'm not saying that it's 'easier' for women, but I do think that as females we feel much freer and more able to be open about our feelings without the fear of being considered weak etc. Males who show their feelings these days are called 'snowflakes' and other derogatory terms . 84 males per month in the UK commit suicide: this is a terrible statistic.

I think Josh will continue to be smarmy and nice to Aliyah (rather than raping her) as she is his "beard" if David makes accusations - Aliyah would be a good character witness about how kind and hetro he (Josh) is he.

Alya is his cover. He looked very uneasy when she led him off for some action the other day.

I think Gary manages to track Phelan down to a caravan park and Gary gets involved in yet another fight (spoilers and photos in the papers a couple of months ago).

I'm sure I read (but it could be a fan theory) that instead of calling the police, Gary kidnaps Phelan and brings him back to the Street . Phelan escapes and MIchelle Connor gets shot by him(he was aiming elsewhere) on her wedding day (I thought the drama on the wedding day was going to be that Robert would have a steroid induced heart attack). I personally thought Phelan would steal Nicola's baby. Wonder if Phelan is still all religious crazy?

They were business partners and seemed to get along quite well, although I think she's an awful character.

Carla won't be happy as she only just gave him the business, she never intended to give it to Alya, who she doesn't even like.

Did anyone think the episode on Friday was really odd, when Johnny went to speak to Toyah he completely ignored Eva who was sat in the sofa. What was that about?

It was odd I thought.

Even if he's not forgiven her and isn't speaking to her for the revenge she took on Aiden and trying to wreak his wedding day as well, you'd have expected that he would be surprised enough to say something to her when he saw her sitting there.

Even if it were just "what are you doing here?"

And of course you would expect her to speak to him and tell him how sorry she was or ask how he was coping.

But they both ignored each other.

Yes, I thought it was odd how Eva and Johnny didn't acknowledge each other.

I think Aiden wrote his will before he gave his kidney to Carla , so was only leaving whatever smaller share he owned then to Aliyah. Maybe he forgot about the will (he didn't place it with a solicitor or anything formal) and so didn't update it to reflect owning all the factory. Strange not to leave his share to his sister to give her some financial help though (even if she isn't interested in running it).

I can see a legal battle ensuing or a buy in. What else are Carla and Johnny going to do other than run the factory?
