Forget the 50s, have we gone back a decade? Haircuts, makeovers, decent tasks and conversations? Just the shopping list to return...

I want the BB cleaners to come round mine. I'll just have to leave the house for a couple of months so they can make a good start.

Having watched last night's episode I'm not really buying the Ashley/Ginuwine romance. His attraction to her seems superficial, and she seems to just be enjoying the idea of liking someone. Lots of down time in there, so I guess it's more fun to sit on the sofa having a cuddle than to sit there alone.

I don't like the way Andrew treats Courtney. He's almost dribbling, and reveling in how cool he is to be fancying a man in drag. Like pp have said, I'm sure Shane/Courtney has been down this road before. I think he'll keep his emotions as taped up as his bits to protect himself. I hope so. If Andrew hurts Courtney he'll have us to answer to - just taping up his bits will seem like a walk in the park by comparison.

Was also gobsmacked at the complete lack of discussion shown about IW leaving. No way that not even one HM would have mentioned it. Censorship, not editing. Makes me think that this series is going to be more heavily edited than any other.

Can't see a problem with Andrews flirts with Courtney.
If anything Andrew is possibly playing a game. He knows it's entertainment, he's realised how popular Shane/Courtney is so hoping to keep him in.

I don't think he'd do anything if it came to it.
He's said he hetro & very comfortable with his sexuality.

My DH can be similar. He has mainly gay friends. They can be very flirtatious but nothing has & will happen. He's had it practically put on a plate & turned it down as he is 100% straight.

Sorry for lower the tone but I think Andrew is after a BJ from Courtney. He’d never in a million years have any sexual contact with Shane.

Shane/Courtney is very intelligent and empathetic. I’d have though s/he would have worked Andrew out by now.

I laughed at IW with the lip gloss too. She was probably just holding onto it so that she could reapply during breaks, but it did seem like she was clutching it like some sort of 'real woman' talisman!

I don't like Andrew. I think he is using Shane/Courtney - first because he knows Shane is popular and wants to be in with the popular crew. Second because he wants to be seen as 'totally fine' and right on around gay people/drag queens. And third because he sees Courtney as a fantasy woman that he can act out the cruder parts of his own sexuality with, in a way he couldn't with a woman (eg the horrible fisting comment).

Shane seems to have his head screwed on right so hopefully will just see Andrew for what he is.

Just caught up now. I think that's all of the socialising I have to do for a while so I can watch live again from now on

I know! I sometimes forget he’s in there. The few times they show him he’s so interesting and wonderfully endearing. I’m hoping he’ll come to the fore now. Although it seems that he’s not really hungry for the limelight unlike Andrew - who I’m rapidly going off now!

I didn’t like Andrew from the start when he was flirting with Anne. So patronising. She did seem to lap it up though 😬. And he admitted to being false when he had to do the task about getting someone to swap beds and he said ‘I managed to make them all believe that I was happy to change their bedsheets, so this shouldn’t be a problem’

I think I must be a prude because I cringe at the sex talk it is so crude at times do men really talk like that withthe lads ?

Well I thought Andrew let it show on Wednesday night when they were discussing the nominations and Rachel was telling Johnny that she'd voted for him because she didn't have a reason to vote for anyone and she thought she could say "oh it's because you're too gorgeous and a temptation" and that would be the nicest way to nominate someone... Andrew pipes up "I nominate you because I'd like to fuck you"... yes, ok, bit of laughter but no one laughing as hard as Andrew who then follows up with "I nominate you because I'd like to blow you"... up until then he'd kept that kind of chat - as far as viewers were aware - to "the lads" but I thought then that he's starting to let it slip a bit in front of the rest of the HM.

Andrew is making Jonny look like a gentleman. Can’t stand him and his self gratification, can’t stand Wayne either, he just never grew up and is about 8 waving his willy around and wanting pats in the head. Not sure where this Andrew/Shane thing will end prob with Andrew getting aggressive with Courtney through his confusion.

Hence her "wolf-whistles are a compliment" attitude - she's a woman who's not experienced it so really thinks it's a compliment and hasn't experienced the fact it's also so often combined with the kind of crude language she can't bear, insults and intimidation.

If we could switch time and put IW into BB5 it was the year of the Jungle Cats versus the Lip Gloss Bitches. Do you remember?

Coincidentally it was the year that trans Nadia won. The year that included Kitten the gay political activist, Marco the gay guy who had a clown phobia and Daniel a gay hairdresser from Hull.

It also had Michelle Bass, Shell, Jason and Victor and Fight Night.
Just imagine if India as now, had been in that mix.

I'd like to see more of Shane L too - he seems lovely. I guess he's not attention seeking nor would he take part in the 'ladz bantz' so isn't there when they're having those conversations either so he will just be in the background until there are less in there unfortunately.

Shopping chalk board is back Anne that’s nearly a full house of stuff from the good old days.

I can't describe how happy the return of the shopping list makes me. It can only be topped by someone taking it into the diary room and taking off all the vegetables, pasta and rice and replacing them with cider, fags and hair dye.
