MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 13:39

Just catching up now loving the 50s dresses

betgilroy · 12/01/2018 13:41

I'm predicting a drunken truth or dare game in the next couple of episodes -
Ashley kissing Ginuwine
Andrew kissing Courtney
Jess kissing Johnny

Childish but true !

MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 13:51

Shane is fab he gets the lads thinking about stuff except Daniel who is a total knob

SlowlyShrinking · 12/01/2018 14:04

I went off JB quite a lot when they were discussing Harvey Weinstein. When he said the things Bill Cosby did took place in a different time when different things were acceptable...l don’t think drugging and raping women has ever been acceptable?!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/01/2018 14:26

Bloody hell - saw a clip just now of Andrew and Courtney sharing a bath.

OP posts:
DecoysBitch · 12/01/2018 14:28

Agree Slowly, he said about it being a different time and laughed.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 12/01/2018 14:28

I think perhaps I was not as clear as I could be, so to clarify, when I used the term FGM with reference to so called 'designer vaginas' I mean in the instance of women choosing to restyle their (mainly) hidden natural parts for the sake of aesthetics, to mutilate their genitals for the sake of fashionable(?) and questionable social ideals.

I'm afraid the casual nature of the TV conversation really rattled my cage and it's something I feel strongly about. However, that said, I recognize the way the term is used with reference to unwilling victims of the enforced practise and apologize for offence given to @Estellanpip and others.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/01/2018 14:28

The designer vagina conversation on BB was distasteful because it was portraying it as a fun easy thing to do when in fact it is mutilation of the body because of unresolved mental health issues.

OP posts:
MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 14:30

Oooooerrr Andrew 😁

BeyondWW · 12/01/2018 14:31

I don’t think JB was saying it to mean it was okay slowly - I interpreted it as “it went on and everyone knew about it, but they didn’t talk about it”?

MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 14:34

John Barnes didn t laugh at all he was smiling he always looks smiley shane J said it doesn't make it right john said no it doesn't make it right I don't think he laughed at women being raped by Bill cosby.

MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 14:35

^^ is how I took the conversation.

BeyondWW · 12/01/2018 14:36

Enrique, i read the fgm comment how you meant it - as designer vaginas (ie women feeling their vag needs surgery to meet nonsense patriarchal standards) rather than designer inverted penises “vaginas”

Did JB laugh? I wasn’t paying full attention, maybe he did mean it was okay back then :(

BeyondWW · 12/01/2018 14:37

He is generally smiley, maybe he was trying to explain without arguing in his nice personable manner. I hope it was that.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 12/01/2018 14:43

Here's better news
forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2263435/rodrigo-lopes-rebekah-shelton-is-not-dead

Victim of a death hoax via their hacked Twitter account apparently.
Horrible thing to do.

MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 14:45

So Rebekah Shelton isn't dead?

MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 14:47

Wtf is wrong with people that is awful,

Thehairthebod · 12/01/2018 14:50

I was disappointed with the Weinstein conversation - when they first started saying 'allegedly' I thought maybe they didn't want to slander him on telly, but the conversation soon made it clear that they think it's perfectly possible that all those women are lying about him Sad

It was a shame because they all denounced Trump and his 'pussy' comments - so when a powerful man basically admits to sexual assault in broad daylight they have no problem with denouncing it, but when women accuse another equally powerful man of the same thing, it's all very questionable.

I loved Shane's efforts to educate them though - I feel like he totally gets it.

mirialis · 12/01/2018 14:58

I'm so naive/ignorant - I didn't take IW's vagina conversation seriously at all as thought it was clearly bullshit. I know about vajazzling or whatever and thought this about being hairless and sequinned - I honestly didn't realise women were having purely comestic surgery on their vulva Shock

BeyondWW · 12/01/2018 15:02

Some do legitimately need it miralis, it can be a medical need as well as a cosmetic procedure. There’s a woman I’ve seen post here on the subject before who had labiaplasty for medical reasons- her labia were particularly long and she had problems with the skin chafing.

But then there’s also the side of rebuilding hymens and stuff like that, and that’s a rabbit hole of a subject...

Estellanpip · 12/01/2018 15:08

Oh, Enrique I appreciate that and sorry if my post seemed a bit short.

I'm happy to see that the news about Rebekah was fake news, I felt genuinely sad to read about her 'death'.

IndominusRex · 12/01/2018 15:09

I read an article recently (I think in the guardian) where women with major tears from childbirth were being given 'an extra couple of stitches for the dad' by surgeons which is utterly horrifying.

MrsJayy · 12/01/2018 15:10

Yes there is actual operations I saw a woman on a documentary getting her Labia clipped i nearly passed out my legs crossed so much i think i cut off circulation it was revolting and then there was an uplift Shock

toldmywrath · 12/01/2018 15:27

Caught up. Did anyone catch ITV Transformation Street on catch-up? It was on last night at 9pm, and dealt with the realities of transexual surgery.
The man who had his penis removed and was told he'd have a fully functioning vagina by the surgeon? I did wonder how the birth canal would work in this instance. What a total lie, the poor male was misled. The pain upon removal of the"vaginal" packing was excruciating for the patient.

India you lie through your teeth.
