Oh god I forgot about Tommy Cooper. I always think of his last moments, knowing he's dying and everyone is just sat there laughing at him Sad

Another vote for Nicholas Winton. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

Speaking of tears, I have an obscure memory of a moment on Noel's Christmas Presents. I know, it could be pretty mawkish but one really stuck with me. It was a little boy of about 10 whose Mum and little sister had health problems and he was a little hero helping to look after his sister. So Noel turns up with a new bike for him and when he saw it he just hugged his sister and sobbed "I love you". It was so genuine and touching.
