On the shipping question, I seem to remember Tess being incredibly intrusive and shippy in post dance interviews despite the fact that Vincent was Right There. Vincent and Flavia also did a Very Special And Emotional vaguely contemporary pro dance with her in a white frock which was hyped up with the subtext “ohh it’s so sweet that they’re dancing the dance of love despite the fact that she’s about to leave him for some child”

Also GethinWuzRobbed (of a place in the final where he should have lost to Alesha obvs) and Matt's Waltz was never a 40.

Gemma wasn't as bad as everyone is making out on twitter.
Yet with three weeks to go I don't think any of them are as strong as the last few series. Mollie, Davood and Debbie did well today.
Alex and Susan for dance off with Susan to go. I think the others have a strong fan base.
Am loving Gio and Gorka this series.

any supergeeks who wanted to see the DO from series 5 week 10(!) tis here. Letitia should have stayed instead of Matt di Angelo rather than having to DO with Alesha - she was also incredibly gracious!

Wonder who gets to do an AT next and what musicals they're going to use next week? If they stay in I know Joe has been in Chitty Chitty but cannot think of any dances he can do to it, he's already done his charleston and Alex was in The Bodyguard and Sister Act but again, no idea what songs they have in them (can you do a salsa to I wanna dance with somebody?!)

I don’t think there is that much dancing in The Bodyguard IIRC.

I hated the benches. Susan is just too short to vault up on a bench! But Kev loves a surface to jump up and dance on.

It is like she's in a different show now. The time for comedy gurning is over but Susan and Kevin haven't got the memo.

mynameisjane I went to see Alex in the Bodyguard and there are at least 2 dance numbers that i can remember (including one to I Wanna Dance With Somebody )

I watched that Scent of a Woman excerpt last night, it is lovely

just before the Sunday shows I do like checking the views on YouTube of the dance show because I think that gives an indication of who the public is voting for (because they're rewatching their dances) and who is less popular.

I think Susan is def in DO. The social media chatter shows a lot of support for Gemma, Joe and Davood. I think Alex in bottom - boring dance and not strong fan base, people won't think they need to vote for her coz she's safe etc.
Meanwhile Debbie 23k!! Although some of that was me just wanting to see Gio!

I Liked Susan's she's getting a BIT better; maybe she needs more intensive dance training, she's got the emotions but she doesn't PUSH through her moves properly IYSWIM. It seems she lacks the confidence to do so.

FFS Tess's dress Claud's was 100% more elegant and suited to her body.

I am unimpressed by this years cast. I just looked at Oti’s and Danny’s samba on YouTube . It was fab.

Finally caught up this morning. Mollie and AJ are together, aren't they? Their reaction to people (mainly brenda) shouting kiss was very telling! It was such a shame that Gemma had to keep falling asleep as I thought her samba sections were nice. Debbeh was just phenomenal, it could have been a bit more romantically intense but agewise she is probably JV's mother's age! Glad alexandra was brought down a peg or two, it wasn't a good rumba at all. It's Susan's time to go, there was hardly any actual dancing in it, what was Kevin thinking?

I think Susan's time is up to be honest. At this stage of the show, it's the strongest dancers who deserve to stay.

Susan definitely in DO against anyone, except Debbie.

i will be sad when Susan goes. for some reason this series seems to have lost its sparkle for me. maybe its Shirley as she did annoy me as her words to jonnie were so off.

I honestly don't know who I want to win which is unusual for me as in every other series I've been absolutely sure who I was rooting for.

To those posting YouTube videos of the series that Matt & Flavia were in, that and the series with Jay McGuiness, are my absolute favourite series of SCD, I regularly disappear into a YouTube void re-watching them.

Thank you for those video links Hangry - and good or bad dancing (and that second one was poor) it is so much better to have proper dancing rather than a Mini-Soap Story.
