Just caught up. OMG, what has Tess done to upset Wardrobe? That - ahem - garment she was wearing looked like it'd been re-purposed from a low-budget '60s sci-fi show.
As for the dances, it made my night to see a couple of classic ballroom routines - after all the clutter razzamatazz of Blackpool, and with Musicals Week ahead, I needed some nice, calm, un-faffy dancing with floaty long dresses. With You I'm Born Again is one of my favourite songs (so many memories, yep, I really am that old) and I thought Davood and Nadiya's waltz suited it well. Having been truly 'meh' about Mollie and AJ so far, this week I enjoyed their routine, and I hope they're not in the DO (or if they are, that they're safely facing Susan and Kevin). Talking of whom, their time has definitely come. What's happened to Susan? She was such a bubbly, cheerful comedy contestant at the start, and now she seems to be taking it far too seriously. The only way she would deserve to get through would be by upping the fun and charm, and she's not doing that, she's getting grumpier by the week. Perhaps it's all a bit much for her, being there and knowing she can't compete as a dancer, in which case it would be kinder for her to go now.
I didn't enjoy the paso doblathon at all. I couldn't properly see what anyone was doing, so I had no idea how to call it. I'm sure when they first started doing these group dances they did them as eliminations - you'd be tapped on the shoulder and have to go, with the last dancers left the winners. Much more fun, I think, and by the time you're down to three or four couples it's much easier to watch.
I'd be very sorry if this week sees the back of Gemma and Alijaz, so I'm crossing my fingers that the DO isn't Alexandra vs Gemma, or even Mollie vs Gemma.
