Anyone else excited by the start of the new 2017 series? I am! It's the law in our house to watch all these Christmas programmes - SCD, X Factor and Celeb.

I don't know who half the contestants are but I like Fizz (Corrie). And I can hardly bear to watch the high planks tonight...

This is the first time I've watched it for years. And I'm quite enjoying it. Clearly they've brought Iain in, in the way they have, just to piss people off.

Do you think? I liked it better tonight with Iain Lee playing panto baddy. Kez was nice but bland. People are far too bothered on this show about being ''popular'' - unless the care package contained cake, sod that for a game of soldiers, give me the damned cake! Getting away from my rugrats for three weeks would be bliss, I really don't need a letter. Just the cake ta.
Bojo's Dad being a Grumpy bugger annoyed me more than Iain did - he's just following the rules of the show and wish public voting could see that, the new ones coming in always have a hard time of it - the divide and conquer stuff is very big brother. As it is I would like Kez and Stanley to discuss politics so people see him for what hze believes rather than bumbly old guy.

Iain entering is the highlight so far. he doesn't give a cr@p about pleasing people. This series is so, so bad - it can only get a bit better now surely.

So Iain has chosen Vanessa to go up against Amir. If I understand it correctly, she has to lose to get her care package but doesn't know it.
If that's the case couldn't anyone from Croc say IACGMOOH and deliberately throw the challenge or do they have to win it fair and square to win both their own and their opponents?
I guess they think Vanessa is the weak link/quietest/hasn't proven herself yet - whereas Toff and Becky have, Kez has to prove herself and Jamie's alpha: That might well backfire if Amir can't cut it and Vanessa wants to show she has the cojones. We really haven't seen her on screen, I do wonder if the edit is being done because the nice, quiet ones are dull but then I think back fondly to Tony Blackburn monologueing to his logs...

I enjoyed it a bit more tonight. Still hope I think.

I thought the two new ones revitalised it last night! Thought it was really quite funny and hats off to Ian for tongue in cheek taking it so seriously as PM!

I do laugh at the tears when they hear from their families. I suppose if your DCs are tiny you might feel like that, but some of them have older children and act like they've been shipwrecked on an island for years!

Scarlett is tiny and the model is 5ft 10
