Anyone else excited by the start of the new 2017 series? I am! It's the law in our house to watch all these Christmas programmes - SCD, X Factor and Celeb.

I don't know who half the contestants are but I like Fizz (Corrie). And I can hardly bear to watch the high planks tonight...

I agree callmeadoctor - terrifying to think that everything our kids have said online since the age of 13 or so can be dragged up in the future and used against them (not condoning what Jacks said/done as I don’t know anything about him or what he’s said) we saw a press report that he said he’d been removed as it wasn’t fair to leave him in there for 3 weeks being unable to defend himself from what was being said about him - which is fair enough I guess. I wonder if they’ve got any reserve campmates for such an event?

It's very dull so far.

I think it was wrong not to air his goodbyes to the group etc. This programme is partly a social experiment, to watch how people behave when they are tired, hungry, under pressure and it is a cop out to not air their true experiences. This will be a big deal to the group and Jack is being removed without any acknowledgement of the impact being seen by us.

It's not floating my boat so far, glad the stars are back, I never heard of Jack, Amir is a bit daft isn't he, I don't like Toff in MIC but she's actually coming across quite well in this.

I don't think Vanessa is getting enough screen time, we've hardly heard her speak, mind you she was brutal in that light bulb challenge.

Stanley makes me giggle - he and Toff are very endearing. Need to see more of Vanessa but most of them are getting equal airtime at the mo.

I agree it’s a bit boring so far. So much moaning! I think last year was quite dull though. My favourite year was when Gillian McKeith and Dom Jolly were in. Bring back the characters with a bit of pazazz!

Dom Jolly year was funniest ever. Half an hour in and we won't have seen Shappi or Vanessa at all.

Shappi is a fantastic comedienne I really hope she gets some air time. I’m finding Becky a bit vapid, and Toff is starting to get on my tits. She’s trying too hard

There are a couple of news articles about Amir and Rebekah having previously tweeted homophobic comments. IAC will have a difficult time if they don't act, but a difficult time if they do.
