Don't think it will be a shock this week. But have been wrong before! Love that Len will be sat at home with a bottle of wine watching Strictly tomorrow night Smile

CeeBeeBee · 24/11/2017 20:00

Well, Alex is doing rumba this week which is much slower than what she's used to. It's possible she won't score as high this week as previously.

The tabloids are horrible to DM, AB and not particularly favourable to Mollie either.

CaveMum · 24/11/2017 22:06

Shirley is on Graham Norton tonight and looks to be attempting to teach Will Ferrell to Rumba!

Oti and Johnnie on the Last Leg. Johnnie’s closing dance still not showing enormous amounts of conviction. Oti appears to have her eyes on Adam, and who can blame her? (As a potential SCD contestant, obviously)

ManicUnicorn · 25/11/2017 11:22

Apparently two 'unlikely' Strictly stars have had a one night stand this season. Also Kevin and Karen's marriage might be in trouble, which doesn't surprise me as I've always felt he could do a lot better.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 25/11/2017 11:23

Ooh, gossip. I must admit, I don't like Karen's hair this season

bonfireheart · 25/11/2017 11:26

manicunicorn what a terrible thing to say, why do people take so much glee in other people's marriages falling apart? This is his third marriage and her second - for two people so young that's sad, none of us know what makes two people fall in love, or how they are behind closed doors, it doesn't give anyone the right to judge one as "better" than the other.

CalmanOnSpeeddial · 25/11/2017 11:34

Susan and Brendan for the ONS...well they said it was unlikely Grin she’s even less his type than he is hers.

Absolutely no way in the world it would be Susan and Kevin given the way they were joking on ITT (didn’t find it particularly funny myself but it’s absolutely not something you’d do if you were desperately trying to cover up an insane ONS). Other than that? Could be any of them really. How about Tess and Brenda?

ShirleyPhallus · 25/11/2017 11:38

What a horrible thing to say! On a thread which is mainly happy and positive can you take your bitchy judgement elsewhere?

ManicUnicorn · 25/11/2017 11:42

When they appeared on Mr and Mrs, Karen couldn't even remember when Kevin's birthday was. That said it all to me.

RosyWelshcakes · 25/11/2017 11:57

Susan and Debbie?

bonfireheart · 25/11/2017 12:10

My friend and his wife has been married for 25 years and are so happy and in love - but neither can remember each other's birthdays or their wedding anniversary. Love is about more than remembering dates.

RhiannonOHara · 25/11/2017 12:11

Kevin's third marriage? Shock Isn't he still really young? When has he had the time?

TimFromRuislip · 25/11/2017 12:43

I'm sure it's only Kevin's 2nd marriage?

I vote Brian and Aston for the one night stand.

CeeBeeBee · 25/11/2017 12:52

No idea who the unlikely couple are, but I hope it's none of the married ones if it is true at all.

scrabbler3 · 25/11/2017 13:38

I often wonder if the show's PR people plant these non-stories.

MrsJayy · 25/11/2017 13:44

I think they do plant stories or maybe contestant PR people people love celeb gossip juicy titbits so these non stories keep people interested.

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/11/2017 13:47

Checking back in ready for tonight Smile

I reckon some of the papers either exaggerate or make up stories to swing votes.

CeeBeeBee · 25/11/2017 13:53

Tangent:
Does anyone here go to swing fit or similar? What are the best type of dancing shoes to wear? The tutor recommends taking a pair to the cobblers to get them suede patched but I may as well invest in a proper pair. It may give me incentive to keep going!

RhiannonOHara · 25/11/2017 14:16

Just googled Swing Train. It sounds wonderful! My zumba teacher does a few swing/lindy/quickstep/charleston tracks and moves and I love them.

On the website it looks like people are wearing activewear; wouldn't trainers, maybe dance trainers, be OK?

CeeBeeBee · 25/11/2017 14:30

Thanks Rihanna, I think dance trainers sound familiar. Regular trainers or ones with grip are no good as you need to swivel.

RhiannonOHara · 25/11/2017 14:34

I wear Bloch ones with a turning circle for zumba. They're actually a bit TOO slippery –I fear for my hamstrings and pride sometimes!

FuzzyCustard · 25/11/2017 14:38

Had a terrible job getting into MN today (it refused to recognise me, I thought I had done something terrible!) I even had to change my password and all that....but all for you, my lovelies. See you later!

morningtoncrescent62 · 25/11/2017 14:57

No, I'd never even heard of it and had to google. It sounds wonderful but there are no classes anywhere near me.

I'll go for the obvious, Susan and Mollie for the dance-off tonight. I was a big fan of Susan's at first, but the last few weeks she's stopped being perky and charming and has got much more intense but without making much progress in actual dancing, so I reckon some of her supporters will desert her. Also, I really don't think the producers did her any favours with that huge vat of popcorn last week, and she should have refused to play along with it.

Talking of last week, I re-watched some of my favourites last night. Was it just me/my telly, or did Gemma's and Alijaz's costumes clash horribly? It looked to me as though he was in red and she was in pink.

Hoping for some lovely, classical ballroom routines this week, and a respite from the squillions of extra dancers, props and gimmicks. I probably need to go on a day trip to 2006.
