So- dress in your best pleather, cos leatherette is for losers Grin

I know it's only Friday- but I couldn't wait this week.

The theme was tenuous- check out the song choices-

Girls

Grace Davies: 'Hesitate' (original song)
Holly Tandy: Ariana Grande and The Weeknd - 'Love Me Harder'
Rai-Elle: Jean Knight - 'Mr Big Stuff'

Boys

Lloyd Macey: Shania Twain ft Bryan White - 'From This Moment On'
Sam Black: Little Mix ft Charlie Puth - 'Oops'

Overs

Kevin Davy White: Whitney Houston - 'I Will Always Love You'
Matt Linnen: Alicia Keys - 'Fallin'

Groups

The Cutkelvins - 'Saved Me from Myself' (original track)
Sean & Conor Price: Julia Michaels - 'Issues'
Rak-Su - 'Mona Lisa' (original track)

So, it looks like there are THREE original songs. Which they can make fit any themeGrin

And not Beyonce, despite the title. (But we do get Whitney- maybe this is to sabotage Kevin?)

So...plenty of time to digest this information.Grin

Wine We might need it.

Still remember when konnie told everyone they were going on tour...woops!

The80sweregreat · 21/11/2017 18:50

I would rather have my legs waxed (which is hell) than see little mix. Even with showtune Lloyd.

Raahh · 21/11/2017 18:52

I can't really imagine your typical little mixer will be that enthralled by Lloyd. Their nan's might like it.

Lloyd n the mixers . Sounds like a Motown tribute band. I bet he does Let it go..

dillite · 21/11/2017 21:12

I have a 7-year old. There's no way in hell that I would take her to a Little Naked Ladies concert.

Someone I know took her then 7 and 8 year olds to a Miley Cyrus gig (when she was going through her "experimentation" phase). Boy do I judge that person to this day. Unashamedly.

JaneJeffer · 21/11/2017 21:38

I hate the whole "flashing your arse is empowering" bullshit that Little Mix trot out.

The80sweregreat · 21/11/2017 21:58

At least the spice girls used to cover up a bit!

dillite · 21/11/2017 22:32

I always find it so sad when people claim that being practically naked is empowering. Why is it never empowering for young women to be fully dressed and earning money not through their bodies but just using their talent?

nancy75 · 21/11/2017 22:55

My Dd has seen little mix twice ( as part of capital radio events where loads of bands were playing) even at 12 she’s old enough to comment on their lack of clothing - her opinion is they are alright but they look like they forgot their trousers! ( she is her mother’s daughter and finds the idea of prancing about on stage in your vest & knickers quite ridiculous)

The80sweregreat · 22/11/2017 09:09

I think they should cover up really. i am not a prude, but some of the outfits are raunchy and their fans are very young.
they started out okay, with just normal clothes!

Raahh · 22/11/2017 11:22

My niece saw Miley Cyrus- back when she was still Hannah Montana. So it was a very different kind of show.

My 7 year old, loves loads of music, I'd not take her to a gig at her age. I know she would get fed up. And I can't justify the cost. Her friend (also 7) is a big Olly Murs fan, and has seen him a few times. I think Olly is a bit more 'age appropriate'. Well, at least he wears clothes. Though he probably has scantilly clad backing dancers.

Even the Spice girls weren't that covered at times- Geri's iconic Union flag 'dress' barely skims her bum, and shows almost all her boobs.Grin

I'd love to know how Lloyd's support act went on. GrinHe looks the type to get very embarrassed if a half naked Perrie decided to duet with him.

Oh, and because I just skimmed through Sunday- is there a 'theme' for next week ?

OP posts:
dillite · 22/11/2017 12:23

My theme for this Saturday is "Staying Alive". No idea what the show's theme is supposed to be.

So we're down to 6 acts right? Grace, Kevin, Rak Su, Matt, Lloyd and CutKelvins. Wonder if they'll do 2 songs each.

dillite · 22/11/2017 15:09

OMG! Can you imagine 4 original songs in one night? I think I will actually drink this Saturday. I shall crack my plum gin open.

MusicToMyEars800 · 22/11/2017 17:20

I missed both nights of X factor.. stupid life crap getting in the way Hmm Grin
Hopefully I will be able to join you all next week, there's not many acts left, I'm wondering how they are going to format it??

Alwaysinmyheart · 24/11/2017 11:24

I know this isn’t the Voice thread but Rita Ora went in the German voice as a contestant ( as a joke) and the judges didn’t know it was her!

Alwaysinmyheart · 24/11/2017 11:27

Here’s the link!

I had no idea it was the semi's already this weekend! it seems as if they have dashed through all lives really quickly this year.

Cary2012 · 24/11/2017 19:16

My final three: pinkish haired 'I'm cutting edge 'cos I write my own crap' girl. Kevin. Rat Poo.

Winners: Rat poo

Hope I'm really wrong.
Kevin's the best by a mile.

Raahh · 25/11/2017 15:58

I have started a new thread and forgot to link it to this one.
