I know it's early- but I've got a football packed morning with dd1. If it's not postponed. And I saw the song choices last night- so have been itching to share them. My bingo card has some crosses on it Grin.

Overs
Kevin Davy White
Fastlove Pt 1

Matt Linnen
Careless Whisper

Boys
Sam Black
I'm Your Man

Lloyd Macey
A Different Corner

Groups
The CutKelvins
Killer / Papa Was A Rollin' Stone

Jack & Joel
The Edge Of Heaven

Rak-Su
Faith

Sean & Conor
Freedom '90

Girls

Grace Davies
I Can't Make You Love Me

Holly Tandy
One More Try

Rai-Elle Williams
They Won't Go When I Go

Alisah Bonaobra
Praying For Time

I don't mind 'Edge of Heaven' too much for J and J- it could have been much worse.
Am very surprised at the choice for the Cutkelvins. At the beginning of the series, I thought they were one of the favourites, but Simon doesn't seem to be giving them much, and they are increasingly becoming the sister , with backing.

And BINGO! 'I can't make you love me' I can't stand that song- and it's Grace singing it- which means they really want her to win. it's such a favourite on these shows.

I think Rat Soup doing 'Faith' rather than Sam , means Sam is going home.

And hopefully, the title of Sobby's song is an omen Grin

There are rumours that the quadruple elimination won't happen now. Which is good in a way, as it would probably have left us with Grace and Rat Soup for the next 4 weeks .

So- I'm off to check if dd1's football has been postponed, and then i need to sort out snacks for later. Grin

Doing a cover is fine-

Grace and Rai-Elle are both dong covers. But they are doing covers that are known more as George songs, than the originals, to most people. It is probably the George version that made them popular to more people .

But Killer and Papa was a Rolling Stone do not fall into that category.

I thought the CK’s were ok but just don’t get all these covers.

George has such a phenomenal back catalogue of his own to choose from.

squoosh · 11/11/2017 20:56

I wouldn't mind snogging Mr Debenhams on a cold winter's night.

The Ewan McGregor cameo is a bit strange though.

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/11/2017 20:56

I quite fancy Ewan Mcgregor, especially in Trainspotting 2 Blush Grin

nancy75 · 11/11/2017 20:56

I think I just did a little sick at the Debenhams xmas advert

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 11/11/2017 20:56

I just had to go and forage in the tool shed for the wine left over from last week's bonfire party!

Fresta · 11/11/2017 20:56

I wish they would do some of George's best songs: Praying for time, Waiting for that Day, Kissing a Fool, Mother's Pride (would be poignant on remembrance day), etc. There's so many that nobody needs to cover a cover version.

Roussette · 11/11/2017 20:56

I have bottles of stuff that will make me regret tonight. e.g. Amaretto, cointreau, and some funny looking blue liquor in a bottle. Ponders...

Piggywaspushed · 11/11/2017 20:57

I don't actually know the Rai-Elle song at all either...

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 11/11/2017 20:57

I do like the Debenhams ad!

nancy75 · 11/11/2017 20:57

Ewan McGregor hardly the best choice for happy ever after, considering he’s allegedly been cheating on his wife with a woman young enough to be his daughter

Whatififall · 11/11/2017 20:58

Ohhh, the Debenhams ad is my favourite so far this year.

Also - thanks for pointing out Ewan McGregor, I was trying to place who it was! Thought it was Guy Ritchie...

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/11/2017 20:58

The ad itself was very vomit inducing nancy

MusicToMyEars800 · 11/11/2017 20:59

Platypus Grin

nancy75 · 11/11/2017 20:59

Roussette that sounds like the kind of booze you bring back from holiday but never actually drink!

Fresta · 11/11/2017 20:59

Rai Elles song is a Stevie Wonder song.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 11/11/2017 20:59

Sean and Connor. Do you think their mum liked Sean Connery??

Raahh · 11/11/2017 20:59

Oh, Piggy it's lovely. Well, I think so. Grin

Oh, here come the mumble chums.

Now, I don't get why Simon likes these two so much at all.

I know what that is it blue cacaro (or however it's spelt)

I wish they would do something with these boys hair!

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 11/11/2017 21:00

A distraction. Back to the floating head

dillite · 11/11/2017 21:00

I don't like drinking on my own so I can't do booze. I did buy some absolutely gorgeous wine glasses this week.

Similar to these but prettier

SinisterBumFacedCat · 11/11/2017 21:00

Is anyone doing Monkey or I want your sex?

Piggywaspushed · 11/11/2017 21:00

But I don't even know it as a Stevie Wonder song!

Disclaimer : my knowledge of SW extends to two songs

NoisyBrain · 11/11/2017 21:00

The Waitrose Xmas ad airs tomorrow night, ad fans.

Roussette · 11/11/2017 21:00

oh yes nancy !

I liked these lads to start with but Si has got his hands on them and ruined them
