And the song list reads like a 'Now that's what I call 2017' cd. Could be good for Jack and Joel- 'Havana' is very popular with the yoofs right now. I'm not that keen- it's always on the radio. My youngest loves it. But I love J and J.

But Despacito ? Really ??

First shout outs for 'featuring Sean Paul' Bingo!

'Smooth' is one of my favourite songs ,ever. Love a bit of Santana.

The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday at 8:20PM and Sunday night at 7:05PM on ITV.

Simon is supposed to be back.

Shockingly- Grace is NOT singing a cover Grin

TWO Enrique songs! And apparently Sobby is bring very brave singing the J-Lo song. Hmm.

Is get lucky 'latin' ?
It still means Grace and Rat Soup could be the respective nights winners though, and compete for the 'big prize'.

I might have to go out. Either tonight or tomorrow- for a firework display. At least before, missing the the results show on a Sunday wasn't too big a deal. It was bit pants anyway.

Anyway, lots to do today, and I need nibbles and Wine

See y'all later.

yes to Sam and attempting faith in another glittery jacket and guitar.

MusicToMyEars800 · 06/11/2017 10:56

I watched some of last night's.. it was dire!!
Did Tracy-L go home?
I wasShock to hear that Aston went home on Strictly.
What's this about walnut whips? I love walnut whips, Do the shops still sell them? I need to go hunting.
Tudor week sounds great Grin
I am on board with the ladies that would rather sit on the sofa with frazzles, wine, and walnut whips than sex up Kevin and Tom Grin

Look forward to next week,

nancy75 · 06/11/2017 11:12

Music it’s all round mine for frazzles, Walnut Whips & wine, I’ll stick up!

nancy75 · 06/11/2017 11:12

Stock up ffsGrin

squoosh · 06/11/2017 11:24

I've just taken a peek at the Strictly thread. They do take it very seriously don't they?

Lots of solemn posts about the injustice of it all. Grin

LineysRun · 06/11/2017 11:28

Asda have packets of three walnut whips on the Christmas chocolate shelf.

I agree about the quality of the duet partners. It used to be, 'Ladies and gentlemen, Mr George Michael!' and now it's more like, 'Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the Chuckle Brothers!'

nancy75 · 06/11/2017 11:31

I don’t think even the chuckle brothers would lower themselves this year.
The closest Asda is a good 45 minutes drive - is it worth it for Walnut Whips? Got a Waitrose virtually at the end of the road but they don’t have them ( clearly my choice of junk food is not posh enough)

JaneJeffer · 06/11/2017 11:41

Just had a look squoosh but got bored after the first few posts Confused I watched Strictly the first year it was on just for Spencer Moon off Eastenders who was so bad he was good. Nobody else seemed to watch it that year and I've never watched it since.

Raahh · 06/11/2017 12:04

I'm waiting for when they have to get Louis to duet, because Simon really can't be arsed, and has blown all the budget on the amazing prizes . That money can't buy Grin. Nicole will be under a table with Mrs O by the final, enjoying smarties in Mrs O's 'special' teacup, so they won't be able to rely on her. Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/11/2017 12:09

Remember , last year , 5Am had to duet with Louisa Johnson. Now that was a bummer. (ok, so clean bandit were with her, but still, the previous year's winner is hardly a top act, is it? ).

Nicole, and Adam Lambert were the others.

Everything about last year's series was a bit shit, wasn't itGrin.

Piggywaspushed · 06/11/2017 12:10

I know Simon was ill but he really looks like a man who ahs given up on it all this year.

When he said ' shut up ' to the audience it reminded me of the time I lost it with year 10 last week.

Raahh · 06/11/2017 12:11

I'm a 5 minute walk from Asda.

But I am feeling very depressed by the whole walnut whip thing this morning Grin.

I will just buy a big bag of walnuts. And a new nutcracker. I don't don't really like chocolate. Grin

Since they are all bun fighting on the SCD thread I shall just mention on this thread too that I was friends with Susan at school. For no other reason than that I like to boast Grin

In her book she says she wasn't funny at school but she definitely was.

Raahh · 06/11/2017 12:15

Piggy I know. And he was very abrupt with Nicole. Maybe he had a bump to his head when he fell. He is a proper grumpy sod.

The format isn't working. and he won't get the result he wants. Probably. I wonder when the cut off for who will be on the tour is?

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/11/2017 12:16

Piggy really? WowGrin. Tat's a cool claim to fame. I hope she was nice. She looks nice. I know she has had her problems. I'd love to be her friend. She'd like me. I'm shorter than her. Grin.

I will be amazed if the X factor survives another series, Or Si will be concocting a plan for a new talent show Grin

I have a Sainsbury's and Tesco Express near me and do my shopping online with Morrisons, think I'll have a look online and get some in my next shop if they've got them, I have a B&M and Home bargains not too far from me, might be worth looking in there too.

I'm too chicken to venture onto the Strictly thread Grin I saw it was in the news this morning, the fans are threatening to boycott the show Grin they reckon it's getting entertainment votes rather than talent votes, like X factor I suppose.

Raahh It really was quite sad and pathetic they had to duet with Louisa Johnson, I don't think they were too impressed. Simon simply can't be bothered with any of it anymore.

Any of you watch I'm a celeb?

Raahh · 06/11/2017 13:12

Boycotting the show is pathetic- the public are the ones voting. The judges had to get rid of one of them.

We say every year Music that we think last will be the last, I really thought that it would go once 'The Voice' moved over to ITV.

I am very close to all the main supermarkets, really. Although the Waitrose is a bit further away, and I never go there. My local Aldi has recently had a refurb, and I hate it. I can't find anything, it seems to take me twice as long to shop (it used to be a quick up and down the aisles job) and they have put most of the freezer stuff on the bloody walls where I can't reach. Angry. It's a conspiracy.

OP posts:
Raahh · 06/11/2017 13:15

I never watch 'I'm a celeb' because of my fear of creepy things.
Although i really like Ant and Dec. I tried to watch it, one year, because there weer some people in it I really like (forget who now), but the crawlies got too much Grin.

OP posts:
The80sweregreat · 06/11/2017 13:41

I have a feeling that Ant will be a bit down in the dumps this year with all his family woes. I used to like it a lot, but its another show thats had its day and i cant be bothered with it now.
Simon either needs to put x out of its misery, or come up with a completely different format ( again) or do 'rock idle' with proper writers and musicians, tap into a different audience. Not sure how, but it needs something else, bit more of a shake up than this.
we have 5 supermarkets, mostly the big ones too, and m and s food store near us, so we never go hungry here! lol. The waitrose is too far to go get to easily, but that really is a 'day out' if we go there ( and pay day usually) I cant believe that walnut whip news.

Raahh · 06/11/2017 13:46

I liked 'Fame Academy' - apart from the irritating Carrie Grant Grin , it seemed more 'serious'. I'm really surprised they didn't do more series of it. I really liked Alex Parks, and can still hum the tune to her winning song, 'Maybe that's what it takes', even if I can't quite remember the lyrics.

They should bring that back.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 06/11/2017 14:48

I like I'm a Celeb. It was good last year but Adam should have won. He was exactly the kind of person you'd need if you were stuck in a jungle and he made me laugh so much. I'm still in awe of them walking out over the top of that building. Way more scarier than any creepy-crawly! Poor Ant is having a rough time, I hope he'll be ok.

Are all these programmes just going to go on forever though?

Rafflesway · 06/11/2017 14:49

Well I’m a serious saddo who watches all these programmes. Must admit I was seriously peed off about Aston on ‘Strictly’! (I watch before X factor on Saturday and watch results on Catch Up very late on Sunday 🙄). I thought he was the best grrr!

Looking forward to the start of I’m a Celeb but shall only see it for the first few days - and will miss the semi and final of X Factor - as will be stunning myself in Mexico later this month.

See I do have a life despite being a serious saddo! 😸

Rafflesway · 06/11/2017 14:50

SUNNING bloody IOS 11!!

JaneJeffer · 06/11/2017 14:53

Grin Raffles I'm sure you will be stunning in the sun. Lucky you!
