And the song list reads like a 'Now that's what I call 2017' cd. Could be good for Jack and Joel- 'Havana' is very popular with the yoofs right now. I'm not that keen- it's always on the radio. My youngest loves it. But I love J and J.

But Despacito ? Really ??

First shout outs for 'featuring Sean Paul' Bingo!

'Smooth' is one of my favourite songs ,ever. Love a bit of Santana.

The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday at 8:20PM and Sunday night at 7:05PM on ITV.

Simon is supposed to be back.

Shockingly- Grace is NOT singing a cover Grin

TWO Enrique songs! And apparently Sobby is bring very brave singing the J-Lo song. Hmm.

Is get lucky 'latin' ?
It still means Grace and Rat Soup could be the respective nights winners though, and compete for the 'big prize'.

I might have to go out. Either tonight or tomorrow- for a firework display. At least before, missing the the results show on a Sunday wasn't too big a deal. It was bit pants anyway.

Anyway, lots to do today, and I need nibbles and Wine

See y'all later.

Well, I feel a bit better for that result, got rid of scary gobby Tracy, and Kevin the prize, and not Rat Soup.

There is hope for the Great British voting Public yet. Grin

Errrmmmm... but George Michael could sing.

It's going to be murder and sacrilege all in one.

dillite · 05/11/2017 20:58

I don't like George Michael so I am meh about next week's theme

The80sweregreat · 05/11/2017 20:59

They will ruin George's songs! Im not happy.
Let him rest in peace..dont do this.

nancy75 · 05/11/2017 21:00

Wham were the first band I saw live, my mum took me, I think I was about 8. Jake & Joel will do Wham

LineysRun · 05/11/2017 21:00

I'm going to miss TraceyL.

Now I have to face the spectacle of cruise singers singing Wham Rap.

Raahh · 05/11/2017 21:01

Will Jack and Joel do 'Club Tropicana' as we predicted last week they should Grin
Although Simon- their mentor- will probably then slate them for being cheesy, or something. Hmm.

The80sweregreat · 05/11/2017 21:01

We said J and J would do Club Tropicana ages ago. I bet they do.
If Alisha tries careless whisper..please Noo.

happypoobum · 05/11/2017 21:01

My J&J Wham prediction will come true!!! YAY!!

Grace surely can't get away with singing an original when it's GM week?

Unless she writes some kind of dirge about him?

Raahh · 05/11/2017 21:02

What about rat soup, will they still sing their own song?

The80sweregreat · 05/11/2017 21:03

The music industry did not treat George well when he was around. Now this ! Its not on.

Raahh · 05/11/2017 21:03

happy if she does, I hope there is a massive backlash on twittery type things. Grin

Someone might try and slow down ' fast love' . I know its gonna be bad.
Wham rap is one of my guilty pleasures, just now sung by a plasterer from saffend.

The80sweregreat · 05/11/2017 21:07

Not sung rather.,

Raahh · 05/11/2017 21:10

If anyone does 'Different Corner' I will cry. It's one of my favourite songs.

And yy to slowing down down the faster stuff. It will be bad.

I remember singing 'wham rap' on the coach to the Liverpool, when we were on our way to the port for our school trip to the Isle of Man in 1983.

But we also made up our own lyrics to 'Save my love ' by Renee and Renato. It was a great time for music, the early 80's.

The80sweregreat · 05/11/2017 21:17

Different corner is a lovely song Raahh.
I bet Holly gets it!
Rat soup will do a mash up with rap in there somewhere.
Sam will try a 60 s spin on freedom or something random like that.

dillite · 05/11/2017 21:38

Didn't Adele already do a slotted down Fast Love version at the Grammies?

JaneJeffer · 05/11/2017 23:40

Well I came on for a catch-up and all I see is Tudors and Walnut Whips. Gotta love this thread Grin

Piggywaspushed · 06/11/2017 07:21

The Strictly thread has gone a bit huffy and nasty so I come over to this one for joy and irony!

Guess it's because we know what we are watching is generally shit!

Piggywaspushed · 06/11/2017 07:21

Sam will do Faith surely!?

Raahh · 06/11/2017 08:37

Piggy that is the general reason , yes Grin . I mean , I get that they are annoyed that Aston left, and there are other dancers left who aren't as good - ( but trying just as hard, imo , I happen to love Susan's enthusiasm and work ethic, she is great entertainment). But- when you are relying on the Great British Public Grin then you get what you get.

It's Saturday night variety show telly , it fills in a few hours. Aston is a celeb with a 'proper' job (that isn't doing so well, but still...)he didn't go on it to become a pro dancer, anyway.

And good shout to Sam doing 'Faith'.

I'd forgotten that way back when, George was the 'duet' partner with wee Joe McElderry on X factor. They really have gone a it down hill with the duets over years Grin
