Voted for Aston, Ruth and Susan. Worried that Aston might go home tonight

No way should Aston be out.

I can't warm to Aston not sure why but he's not entertaining me somehow.

Loved Kevin farts glitter and Susan tonight pure joy. So she gets my vote.

Loved Anton and Ruth too hilariously brilliant.

Surely it's the mix that makes it fun? If it were all Susans and Ruths, then they would become boring- as it is, their journeys are fun and glittery and amusing. Debbie is awesome because she has struggled with some dances (there was one her ballet lines didn't suit at all), but has that dance discipline from 30 odd years ago. Lovely to see her progress as well. Anton and AB are similar for me in terms of working regularly on stage, using dance, but they are much needed too.

Gemma was a bit rubbish mostly because she’s almost the same size as Aljaz.

Johnnie was dreadful. Good job we had Oti to look at dancing her socks off. Her lifts are looking more and more like parkour with Johnnie playing the part of the multi-story carpark ledge.

I looked at Aston thinking “I don’t know what’s wrong with this but something definitely is” and was relieved to hear that the judges agreed. Looked at Debbie thinking “is this right??” And apparently it was the best thing evaaah but my dance knowledge not good enough to see it.

Lovely to see Davood having a great dance out of nowhere - properly surprising in a good way.

If I'd watched it live I would have voted for Debbie & Davood coz I've loved their dances - and for Aston because no way was that a 4!
Did penalise him for J's choreography?

I seriously must have missed something with Debbie's dance it looked really awkward and dull to me and I thought Joe Varney was dragging her and placing her in position a lot! Am gobsmacked at the judges reaction to be honest

Kevin and Susan deserved those marks just for Kevin Farts Glitter glittery short dungarees...must be a contender for the worst outfit ever on the show made him look like an overgrown toddler!

very funny and very true, unfortunately. But we can't all vote for Johnnie just to see more of Oti, although I am tempted.

We started watching it late and they stopped the vote earlier than usual this week so I couldn't get my last vote to register. If Susan is in the dance-off it's my fault
Otherwise, DD voted for Aston as she was worried about his score and I gave my other vote to Joe, great routine.

I think Johnnie might be in the dance off. He seems to have lost interest a bit and hislast few dances have been poor.

Johnnie and Mollie maybe. Ruth has support and Gemma has the Alijaz factor.

I agree a mix is good. I also like AJ and Mollie, Oh and Joe. Also agree that Oti is fabulous but Johnie very poor really.

We're in that awkward middle stage where it's the dancers who are boring who are in trouble not the ones at the bottom of the leaderboard nec.

I can't judge whether or not Debbie's tango was any good - I was too distracted by the terrible music.

I'm predicting a Jonnie v Gemma bottom two. Who has the best salsa? Could go either way.

BTW - did anyone else wonder what Kevin and Janette had done to annoy the costume department?

My votes went to Davood, Susan and Aston tonight. I don’t always vote.

I think there’s a chance that Gemma is in the dance off.

She was in the Iranian ballet for 2 years if I have the timeline right - joined royal ballet school at 16 (1974) Joined Iranian ballet after graduating so 19? (1977) Revolution 1979 so was in corps de ballet for 2 years.
If I could choose a beginner to win I'd pick Susan, if I were to choose a ringer I'd pick Alex but the compromise for me is Debbeh, because she has to unlearn the ballet that buggers up her Latin and I think, even with professional experience, she is not performing at her age as well as she is without putting in the work. She's doing the training not coasting.

After Debbie fled Iran she then worked as a jobbing hoofer (think Pan’s People) in summer shows and similar for a year. So very relevant experience in picking up dances quickly in a variety of styles, not just ballet, but it was a long time ago.

Faff but everyone adores Bey and Michelle Obama, don't they, to name two strong women of colour off the top of my head.
