Hope everyone is ok and avoiding the bugs that seem to be going the rounds.
As I was in on my own I have just watched ep 2 of first OG. I Now realise how and why I got HOOKED. BA/CJ really is special in the role of Captain and the interaction with MD is so real it’s impossible to think it’s acting.

I do hope he gets more parts on television here and doesn’t stay in the states. Although that is where they all want to be!!!
Back to the real world and Christmas preparations but had a great break with OG1.

Been absent for a few days. Had some work done in the house over the past two days. I absolutely hate all the upheaval and when a supposedly simple job went wrong, I nearly cried (especially when it looked as if a relatively new carpet just over a year old might be ruined). Fortunately, I overreacted but I was very glad to get rid of the workman who was called Charlie. Sadly, he bore no resemblance whatsoever to our CJ. Nice enough chap but more Peter Kay than Ben Aldridge.

On our local news tonight, it said that Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright had been on a day out with some of the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing to EuroDisney.

Flower I binge watched series 2 of OG on Sunday.

Hope everyone is well prepared for Christmas. My grandma always used to say she never understood why there was so much fuss "it's only one day" she would comment. In those days (she died in 1979), the shops weren't open again on Boxing Day as they are now and the post-Christmas sales were just that. Now everything has been discounted already I noticed.

Hi all everyone busy at the moment so quiet on here. Just thought I'd come on as a sort of follow up to what Flowerfan said about her binge watch of an episode from OG1. Something I do quite often. However what made me realise how that series is embedded in my brain is a collage that is on Instagram of BA obviously and it made me realise that not only could I recognise the fact that every shot was from Series one but I could pin down each pic into its exact scene. I guess that's dedication.

Indeed Magi the collage is exactly why I rewatched OG 1 and intend to do the rest of the episodes over Christmas hopefully, if I get time!! Nice to know I am not the only obsessive around 😄🎄🎄

How lucky am I. DD sent the photo to Ben’s agents and he signed it when he got back to the country so a little late but did I care NOT at all. Lovely surprise 👏👏👏😄😍
Hope you are all nearly ready I am at the stage of ‘what we haven’t got now we’ll do without’. At least the weather is not going to make it difficult for anyone having to travel.

Wow FLOWER that is so cool! Your DD is a gem. Am sure you were thrilled with that. Now we know he's back in the country too so perhaps we'll hear about any new roles that might be in the pipeline - if his agent get their act together and get on to promoting him a bit.

Like you I'm at the stage of thinking if I have forgotten anything it won't hopefully be the end of the world. Enjoy your Christmas.

It’s a bit like a lot of us on here we have not shown our true obsession to everyone so mine is or was in a parallel universe so not sure!!
DH didn’t make any comment he does know that OG is my fail safe when there is nothing else on tele I just get from them all are you watching THAT again!! Unless they are one of us they just don’t understand. 🎄🎄🥂🦌🦌

I had to go to the supermarket today to help out my elderly neighbour who is not well and who was in hospital for over 3 weeks. His children (one is 48 and the other is 51) are UTTERLY useless and I have been doing quite a lot of meals for him. Their idea of cooking is to make him a sandwich and give him a small satsuma and a couple of biscuits. I know I need not to get too involved but it's very difficult to keep out of it all when I know I can give him much nicer meals than he is getting now.

It was such a thoughtful gesture Flower. I remember for my 50th birthday that a friend bought Terry Wogan's "Janet and John" book for me (if you were a fan of Terry, you will know what I mean). She asked her sister to get the author to sign it for me. I can't remember how she knew this man now but he had personalised it and something I had told my friend about having heard the CD of the stories as I was driving to work he incorporated into his message. I was really touched by it. So I do understand how you feel about the photo.

Hello to all the newbies (who aren't so new any more ... I know, it's been too long!). Hopefully we won't have to wait out too long for the next series in the new year, but thanks to pixie I've been binge watching bluestone again . Off to put the kids to bed in the hope they'll sleep before midnight so I can go to bed.

I hope you are coping with the weather. At the moment still fine but cold here problems seem to be further south again, very strange. I think we may get snow on Friday but what will be will be.

Evening everyone!

I thought I'd be less busy over Christmas now I've finished work but it doesn't seem to have worked out that way and I have also been doing more than I expected in keeping an eye on my elderly neighbour who spent a month in hospital and whose own family aren't really pulling their weight in my opinion.

This was my witch hazel giving some colour at Ilove Towers ready for the New Year.
