Can you share kazza?

I am so IT-illiterate that I wouldn't know where to start ilove Confused I saw it via Sean Ward's instagram and followed the link or just Google it, which is what I do as I'm on neither instagram nor twitter!! Sorry Blush

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2017 18:18

Oh I do follow Sean Ward but must admit find some of them a bit too left field for me. I'll take a look now. At least Instagram is easier than Twitter which I don't get at all!

Is this it?

Yep!

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2017 21:22

It's a weird photo don't you think kazza? The background is so bright, it's almost as if it's a fake backdrop. CJ's head looks at a slightly strange angle too - almost as if it's been photoshopped?

I think Captain Azzizi has just risen from the dead and is in Love, Lies and Records on BBC1!

Have to admit I hadn't really noticed the position of BA's head to his body ilove - just concentrated on his face Grin Yes, I agree the whole colour / definition thing is a bit weird, what was it in Hollywood in the 1940's and '50's - CinemaScope? A bit Calamity Jane or The Wizard of Oz!

kazzaD66 · 16/11/2017 21:42

Oh, I knew there was something I was going to watch /record tonight! Any good ilove ?

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2017 22:21

Yes, it was pretty good I thought. I've liked a couple of others that Kay Mellor has written - The Syndicate (and Richard Rankin managed to make it very good indeed) and In The Club as well.

It's not going to rival OG but definitely worth a watch.

Where it all began I had to find out who this was and you all know the rest😍😉

I thought the photo was a bit weird too - possibly false backdrop.

Kazza it reminds me of 'South Pacific' - the 1958 film. All we need is CJ to launch into his version of "There is nothing like a dame..." he likes a good sing-song.

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2017 22:42

Flower I really didn't take to CJ in the first episode. I have worked with a number of ex Forces officers and CJ struck me as a typically chauvinistic up himself sort of guy. I think it took me to episode three before I thought "wow!" and I remember sending an email to my friend the next day saying "I think I'm in love!"

My DVD arrived today and I've been watching the outtakes. I rather like the number we see of a topless Elvis though wish they weren't all of him cleaning his teeth!

I’ve just lost a long positive I did before the photo one!!! I was reading the posts and you reminded me about the Kay Mellor programme which I am now downloading. I think the photo of CJ etc is spooky very unreal. There’s a good one of him on instagram in black and white I cannot get to grips with twitter but love all the photos on instagram. There are lots on tumbler but I can’t always find that either!!!! Right I will post this again hopefully 🤞

Flowerfan · 16/11/2017 22:48

LONG POST!
I was hooked by that face from the start and other things as time went by!!

Rhubarb01 · 16/11/2017 22:49

I'm beginning to wonder how many takes of Elvis cleaning his teeth there were ilove. Reassuring to know that so much attention is lavished on dental hygiene, though, despite the type of brushing technique my dentist would probably criticise.

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2017 22:57

Perhaps I need to count how many shots of Elvis cleaning his teeth there were .... a job for tomorrow I think.... not too onerous!

I think it was the moment Molly came back from Bastion after saving Smurf to be met with CJ, feet apart, arms folded and giving her his 'foolhardy' speech obviously impressed but maintaining his officer front.

By the time they had their little 'charm and magnetism' chat in the tent it was all a done deal as far as I was concerned. Ahh, happy days!

kazzaD66 · 16/11/2017 23:14

I'd pay good money to see that rhu . Or maybe a bit of role reversal....CJ in a grass skirt singing "I'm gonna wash that man girl right outta my hair"? He's certainly got the attributes for it....I mean the hair and the voice of course GrinBlush

kazzaD66 · 16/11/2017 23:15

Love that scene at the end of Ep 1 rhu

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2017 23:26

There were four shots of Elvis cleaning his teeth!

Talking of which - teeth-cleaning, that is - do you count as an occasion of humility Elvis only saying 'Manchester' when asked about the scar from the bullet he took for Georgie, and it is left to Spanner to elaborate (slightly)?

Ilovelblue · 17/11/2017 12:28

Hmmm that's an interesting one eejit. When I've seen that scene, I've always thought that Rab was quite in awe of Elvis one way or another and that Elvis found the attention quite annoying. I think Rab still had the idea that being in a war zone was exciting (didn't he say it wasn't like he imagined - he'd been watching too many films probably) - and as a pretty wet round the ears squaddie, he probably looked up to Elvis. Let's face it, not only was Elvis good looking, but a much higher rank, in the SAS, been on dangerous missions around the world and attracted all the girls, including Maisie. I think when Elvis just said "Manchester", it was meant as a brush off, rather than a modest response, leaving poor Rab to wash in his dirty water. Maybe Rab thought washing in Elvis's mucky water was an honour.

That was a bit of a ramble, sorry! Maybe Rhu, kazza or Flower have a different interpretation?

kazzaD66 · 17/11/2017 12:55

I don't think humility is a quality that comes (came?!) naturally to Elvis, but then I'm a CJ menopausal women girl. I took it as just saying it because it was the truth but also with a bit of "bugger off and leave me alone, you annoying little newbie" thrown in for good measure! He was hacked off with Georgie at this point, wasn't he, so not in the best mood to exchange small talk.

Flowerfan · 17/11/2017 12:59

Mhm not sure I imagine the SAS have it drilled into them from the start Not to talk about missions they are sent on even when completed. Perhaps he didn’t want to talk about getting shot something they are not expected to do!!!! in the SAS😏
