Now in our fourth year. Here to discuss all things Our Girl: Captain James, Elvis, Georgie, Maisie and the rest of the cast.

I came across ‘The Devil’s Whore’ on channel 4 catch up, which I think was BA’s first tv work after drama school. He’s killed at the end of the first episode.I liked the story and I love historical dramas but I just couldn’t bear to watch the rest of the series after that. I can’t imagine how I’d feel if they killed off CJ.

Not read any of the fan fiction stuff. Anyone got any links?

I think all the CJ fans are worried about his future. Perhaps this will be the last OG anything other than TG killing him off, I think the repercussions would be something too see!
I think the trouble is BA portrays a military man to perfection his manner, voice etc etc and the fact that at least this year he has been away most of the time has made it difficult for him to do other things.
Do you get the idea I am desperately clutching at straws here and hoping he gets more roles with the BBC. Anything to keep him on our screens. BUT preferably a spin off with Molly and Georgie on some sort of mission.

Flower - I must admit to having the feeling that this series could be the last for OG. As you say BA certainly portrays the military officer very well. You probably saw the Vera episode.

Why I mentioned about him not getting offered different roles was because I felt in the 2 year gap from OG 1 to them deciding on having another series he only had that few episodes in Reign (bit of a no no I felt) then one episode of the Lucky Man as a dishy police officer who promptly got killed and then it was very blank. So like you I am hoping the BBC have cottoned to what a smashing fella he is.

All fingers crossed etc. for at least a smooth ending of this series for him with maybe even a promotion if by some I chance they do carry on with a further series.

Ladies, don't forget he was in Fleabag on BBC3 which was really good and also that one man play whose name escapes me.

Yes Ilove I thought he was really good in Fleabag but really as that was not 'mainstream ' I'm not sure it would get him noticed by the casting people for the larger audiences.

The play he did as a one man thing I am sure was terrific, really sorry I missed it, but again a small pub theatre.

I am still not sure that his agency really serves him well. I remember in the early days of this thread a lot of people were really scathing about the outfit that is supposed to look after him.

The play was Run the Beast Down (www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/theatre-dance/reviews/run-the-beast-down-review-finborough-a7565426.html?amp) and he was very good in it. He’s also shot a film this year between that and OG filming called The Titan which will be released next year. He’s been busy!

I’d love it if he did something else with Phoebe Waller Bridge, she’s been busy in the Han Solo film this year.

Totally agree about the agency! We've often said on here we could do a far better job for him.

Oh and offer him some style advice too. 'Lose the backward facing baseball cap' would be my first suggestion!

That is good to hear. I would have liked to see the one he did as George Gershwin but again not mainstream. Mind I don't have Sky or any of these other obscure ones so my chances of seeing anything are minimal!

If anyone wants to digress from the attributes of CJ or Elvis, we will probably do a commentary on Strictly Come Dancing tonight. All welcome!

I am here! I have no idea what anyone is dancing this week as I haven't read or watched any ITT. Interesting looking costumes. Can't imagine what Susan and Kevin are supposed to be - obviously comical.

Alexandra and Gorka were Fab! One small stumble at the beginning but I think your bet is on safe ground, ilove.

I feel quite out of breath watching that! I need to check what our odds were on her. Think it was about 3/1.

Having to look after a demented cat at the moment as the fireworks going off have terrified him. It's pouring down too so I'm surprised people want to let them off in this weather!

I'm aware that some people on the main SCD thread really don't like Alexandra and think she's fake but I can't see why. She's just very enthuisastic. She ought to be pleased.

I so much preferred AJ dancing with Claudia. I'm not too keen on Mollie but I don't think she's too bad. More stupid bits of VT.

Luckily, as previously mentioned, my dog doesn't care about fireworks but I sympathise about your cats ilove as we've had four in the past and they all hated fireworks.

Elvis and Georgie euphemisms aside, I think that was really quite nice! A 1950's romantic style.
