Onwards from the costumes of Film Week to the even more costumes and hair and make-up and contact lenses of Hallowe'en... Hopefully this thread will a have a couple of nice tasteful weeks, but we'll see Grin

They won’t have to mess with the scoring to allow for the fact that it’s only 3 judges - the scoring is simply decided by the order of the couples. If this week the top scorer gets 29 rather than last week’s 39 then that’s fine - they still get the maximum 12 points whilst the bottom placed contestant gets 1 point (barring ties which are admittedly more likely with only 3 judges).

It’ll drive Monkseal crazy adjusting his spreadsheets though because it plays havoc with attempts to compare people’s average scores across series.

I hope Bruno is ok. He looked a bit pale last week. Maybe it is just fatigue, he has a heck of a schedule.

Susan is my favourite personality and Aston my favourite dancer. I hope they both get to Blackpool. I've also been impressed with Brian's commitment, I thought he'd play the fool but he seems to want to do well.

bonfire I heart you for that suggestion.
They are so missing a trick there. Brenda next to Shirley would have been awesome.

I guess because of Donny 10s and the blandness of Jennifer Grey they just won't bother.

Personally I would have loved them to have had Richard Osman on as a guest judge openly judging on entertainment and whether it looked like it hadn't gone horribly wrong and admitting he had no dance credentials whatsoever. That would have been interesting.

As it is, a cardboard cut out of Bruno which Shirley pushes off its chair once during the show would have worked for me. That, and Tess saying ''thanks Bruno'' as the camera pans past, in homage to Monkseal.

I quite like the way Zoe says Shirley 'Bassey' for Ballas Halloween Grin.

I wonder if Shane Ritchie thinks his hair looks natural and if he thinks he can sing? Sorry that's bit a bit catty , but really hasn't anyone in the public eye heard of growing old ,almost, naturally!

Harry Judd is cute but not very bright (he seemed to think that AJ and Mollie were good together) which they are physically but AJ has no sensitivity with her. Although I liked what he was saying about contestants who are performers being more able to think about being 'entertaining' while dancing than the others. Though of course it doesn't necessarily follow.

Bruno choosing to do Dancing With The Stars, in America, instead of Strictly, is very annoying, even though it's only one night.It's obviously more important to him. Or pays better?

I used to really enjoy Dancing with the stars-but got out of the habit of watching it a long time ago and never restarting.
Think I need to do so-Is Len still on it? I am missing Len

Oti and Jonnie were on it and they were talking about him being unable to keep his bottom tucked in was perhaps a result of his prosthesis causing his posture (for balance etc) to be different to regular dancers

IMHO they shouldn't penalise him for something he might not be able to adjust in order to keep his balance

Hope they don't mention it again tonight
