My votes went to gemma and susan.

Redcrayons · 14/10/2017 20:40

I voted for Susan, Ruth and Debbie.

Think it might be charlotte and Simon or maybe Brian in the DO.

TheSassyAssassin · 14/10/2017 20:41

Agree Simon & Charlotte bottom two tonight. Didn't get a sofa bounce in this week but still enjoyable...wine helped! Wink

Redact · 14/10/2017 20:41

Loved Susan and Kevin’s dance. Her enthusiasm is infectious. Kevin also looks like he’s thoroughly enjoying himself too

KurriKurri · 14/10/2017 20:42

Some great dances this week - so much better when it's not a 'theme' week. Loved Alexandra's dance - I know she's a ringer, but as a dancer she is great to watch. Loved Susan too, - she and Kevin are really charming together (and I never thought I'd say that about Kevin - I'm almost liking him!!)

love Johnny even though he's a bit bloke dancing (he would have been Len's 'yer come aaht. yer give it a go' contestant)

Gemma is growing on me, and I like Debbie (enjoyed her dance though it was somewhat slated tonight).
Also a fan of Joe - but his dance wasn;t good tonight.

It's going to be hard once the crappers have been sent home (Brian, Charlotte, and Simon)

Inkanta · 14/10/2017 20:42

My favourites - Alex, Debbie and Susan.

MargotLovedTom1 · 14/10/2017 20:45

Good Lord. Alexandra was overwhelmed after delivering a great dance and getting not only the first ten of the series but three of them - she understandably feels emotional and says "I wish my mum was here," about the mother she lost a matter of weeks ago, and people are bitching about it?

Anyway I've voted three times for Joe because I don't want him to go ever yet.

ThursdayLastWeek · 14/10/2017 20:45

I voted Gemma, Alexandra & Susan

CalmanOnSpeeddial · 14/10/2017 20:47

A couple of ties at the bottom end means the danger zone probably extends past the halfway mark.

I’m voting Susan (should be safe, but just in case), Debbie (has some great dances yet to give us) and Joe (my favourite of the bottom half).
Alexandra was phenomenal but would be the ultimate waste of a vote.

I voted for Susan, Gemma and johnnie. Some surprising scores tonight, Susan was 5th on leaderboard and Debbie 7th! I knew Debbie would struggle with Latin dances, just like Helen from call the midwife did a few years ago, just too straight and precise for those Latin dances. I lived gemma and alexandra's dances, just such strong and powerful women, beautiful! And of course alexandra isn't milking it, just heartless of people to say that. It's obvious she was trying not to bring up her mum before now, as now is the first time she mentioned it properly. Susan's dance was so good! So pleased for how happy she was.

scrabbler3 · 14/10/2017 20:51

I was pleasantly surprised by Susan. Great routine. And a ten point improvement! I wonder if that's happened before.

CaveMum · 14/10/2017 20:55

Just finished catching up! My thoughts:

Debbie - looked unbalanced at times. Body weight too far back and her chasses were skippy at times. Nice straight legs but felt like she was holding back a bit.
Brian - too much gurning! Several of his appel's (the foot stamp) were off time and shaping was very hit and miss.
Mollie - lacked confidence when out of hold, her rotational hip action was lacking and at times her balance was iffy. I just don't get why they do lifts in the Salsa!
Davood - couldn't see much of the footwork as the camera-work doesn't help! Bit skippy at times and technically an illegal lift! I get the impression that Craig does not like Nadiya!
Charlotte - A massive improvement, but she was stepping that through. Her footwork was sloppy at times but that was mostly because she was not using her ankles correctly. She needs to loosen her arms up too, her elbows looked glued to her sides at times!
Joe - Very stiff in the hips, straightening of his legs was a bit hit and miss at times and I thought his steps were too big at times and his feet too far apart.
Ruth - weak frame and a few balance issues but I quite liked it! She also needs to raise her eye line a bit, she tends to look at the floor a lot.
Aston - thought he looked a bit nervous and was holding back a bit. He looked to land quite heavily on a few heels, so I think Janette has been drumming heel leads into him! A few gapping issues.
Simon - thought his footwork was shocking - failed to slip his foot in the stationary walks, he took gigantic steps in his Voltas and his botafogos were unrecognisable!
Gemma - thought her shaping was a bit off at times, but she did a very good job with that.
Alexandra - that was good, and fast! To be picky her Jive action wasn't quite coming from the right place: she wasn't using her knees fully. Bless her, I was in tears with her at the end.
Jonnie - a hard piece of music to dance to. Pretty decent footwork, though I thought I saw a small stumble but his confidence is growing.
Susan - looked to hanging on for dear life at points, but she gave that a damn good go and I think she was very light on her feet.

Inkanta · 14/10/2017 20:56

Yes well done to Alexandra for getting three 10s!

Chipsticks don't be was so mean saying she was loathsome and you can't stand her. Good grief!

ellenanora5 · 14/10/2017 20:58

I thought Alexandra was bloody amazing, Gemma was bloody good too, the only ones I really don't like are Simon and Mollie.

I reckon Gemma will get to the final, I said on the first thread that she's one of my favourites and I think she'll get better and better.

KurriKurri · 14/10/2017 21:03

Simon made a lot of mistakes - so I guess if he is in the dance off and manages to correct them, Shirley will have a reason to keep him in.
he seems a nice enough guy - I just don;t really want to watch him dance any more (ditto Charlotte - who still looks as if she;s been press ganged into being there)

Was there less of the ubiquitous looming Eamonn this week ?

Cherrypi · 14/10/2017 21:05

Davood in danger maybe?

IhaveChillyToes · 14/10/2017 21:07

If davood is in dance off he will do the illegal lift again as he kept doing it in training

Was picked up on in ITT

CalmanOnSpeeddial · 14/10/2017 21:13

I wonder if Mollie’s getting the votes? She might possibly have a sniff of the dance-off. I’d put money on Simon being in the dance-off though, and therefore presumably going home.

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 14/10/2017 21:14

Yeah about Charlotte - I might be projecting wildly here but I think she’s not really enjoying it, she knows she’s not mucchgood and probably wouldn’t mind being put out of her misery.

I feel a bit mean. I do like her as a person, I just think this isn’t for her!

CeeBeeBee · 14/10/2017 21:14

I don't want Davood to go just yet as he's not really had a chance to shine. Think he may have been better with someone like Oti or Katya.

Chipstick10 · 14/10/2017 21:15

For goodness sake how is it being mean to say you think someone is loathesome. ? Of course it's sad her mum died. I have lost my mum and dad and miss them everyday. I thought it was false that is how it appeared to me. To me personally. No one is asking anyone else to feel that way. I felt it looked not real. I find her showbizsy and fake. And I just didn't see any tears, I felt embarrassed when she dropped on the floor on XF. I don't like her that is all. I haven't killed anyone. I am expressing an opinion. That is all.

OliviasWhiteHat · 14/10/2017 21:22

I don't know how anyone could think Alexandra wasn't being genuine when she got emotional and wished her Mum was there. Jesus. It was literally weeks ago that she passed away.
Her dance was amazing. She's not my favourite. I'd like Gemma to win.

Inkanta · 14/10/2017 21:24

'For goodness sake how is it being mean to say you think someone is loathesome.'

You were being mean - stop it!

Chipstick10 · 14/10/2017 21:31

I couldn't enter a dance comp when my mum had just died . I couldn't function. I couldn't eat, I was a zombie. So there we are . Everyone is different.

MargotLovedTom1 · 14/10/2017 21:33

For goodness sake how is it being mean to say you think someone is loathsome? Well, it isn't exactly a compliment!
